Each character does have more than 1 victory animation right? What of each Koopaling gets just one?
While I don't see reason to believe it (nor rule it out), I will say that the Koopa Clown Car would add something that's been missing from the newcomers so far, at least in terms of aesthetics.
So far, many of the newcomers have been human or human-esque (Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Little Mac, Mii Fighters, Palutena, Lucina, Robin), so this would add some more animal mascots that feel distinctly "Nintendo-y." Also, it'd add some needed color -- the newcomers so far have prominently featured dark colors, especially blue, so adding the Koopalings with their greens and oranges and reds would be nice.

The way the rumor presents it:But the Koopalings shouldn't/wouldn't play the same, and that's part of the problem. I might put stock in the rumor if it mentioned only Bowser Jr., but the Koopaling alts are too nonsensical for me to believe. They don't fight or behave like each other in the Mario games, so why would they all be alternate costumes? I understand color homages, sure, but full-on model changes would be bizarre.
The Clown Car could contort and bend in a cartoonish way.
But then, how is it supposed to grab items, climb ladders, jump, crouch...? It's just too odd.
What glass dome? The way the rumor presents it:
The overall fighter model would be the same. That's the Koopa Clown Car, with its glass dome and propeller and boxing gloves and chassis.
So it plays the same no matter what.
What's inside the glass dome would vary, but it's only a visual.
It has limbs for manipulating items. Remember the extend-arms with the boxing gloves? The Clown Car could contort and bend in a cartoonish way.
But then, how is it supposed to grab items, climb ladders, jump, crouch...? It's just too odd.

It has a propeller, not tires. It'll use it's tires.

Has no one seen a cartoon with a car before, or played kingdom hearts 2?

I could see them calling it Koopa Clown Car. It's the car doing the fighting, after all. You could still name the individual pilots on the victory screen, similar to Pokémon Trainer (which honestly wasn't that great a name, either).
They could conceivably vary the animations a bit for the different pilots. Enclosed in a glass bubble, they'd still have the same hit-boxes no matter how they're shown moving inside.
The car would have to be rather large to accommodate Roy and Morton, however. Which means Lemmy, on the opposite end of the spectrum, would look rather small in the car. However, that could be part of the visual humor.
I don't "believe" the rumor, but I think it's a legitimately workable idea.
As of the demo, each character only has one victory animation.
Unless I'm misremembering, didn't the rumor say a glass dome was added over the top? What glass dome?
I agree, though. I'd love to see more variety and "joke" characters in the roster. While I don't see reason to believe it (nor rule it out), I will say that the Koopa Clown Car would add something that's been missing from the newcomers so far, at least in terms of aesthetics.

Right, but Brawl certainly had 2 or 3 per character.
There aren't team colors in this game. The "Red" team has a red outline.Besides Roy and Morton (which is enough to make me want this to be true), the other thing I would wonder about would come to Team Play.
Would Wendy or Roy be the "Red" color?
Who would be "Green"? Iggy or Junior, himself?
Likewise "Blue" for Larry or Ludwig.
I suppose they could make it so you could select between the two. But I guess you're just SOL if you really wanted to play Morton or Lemmy in a Team Battle!
And if your idea for giving each alt their own "weight" was to come to pass, that could just make things even messier, which is why I don't think they would go that far.
I love this idea and would love to see it happen so that both sides of the Jr and Koopaling debate could be pleased by this. But I would definitely need to see it for myself in action...

.
I wasn't saying they'd add the weight distinction here. The way the rumor presents it, it's one uniform weight and set of properties. I was saying that in the past, when I proposed the Koopalings, I envisioned one move-set with variable properties based on the Koopaling selected. But that's not what the rumor describes here. In this rumor, it appears to be one set of properties and the pilot's appearance simply changes inside the bubble.Besides Roy and Morton (which is enough to make me want this to be true), the other thing I would wonder about would come to Team Play.

Nintendo doesn't own Intelligent Systems, but they have an incredibly close working relationship -- they're both in the same building (or used to be).Calling Intelligent Systems second-party just seems dirty to me. They've been with/owned by Nintendo since their inception, right?
It'd be like calling Sonic Team a second-party Sega studio.
Aren't we talking about the car from 3d world?
Yup! Looks like there might only be one this time around though.
Yep, that's how I picture the glass dome looking. Just imagine that on top of its airborne form, and the pilot changes inside. A little extra work varying the pilot appearances, but in terms of attacks, properties, etc, it's all constant since the car does the fighting. It having a dome isn't unprecedented:

A lot of the victory poses have been modified to accommodate the new results screen and 3D effect. There will likely only be one per character, unfortunately. The demo is so old I just can't accept that. I mean we saw Brawl assets in the direct like Diddy's character select portrait. There is no way the final game will have 1 victory pose per character.
Then again the character intros disappeared in Melee so maybe not.

As for team colors we don't know how it works on Wii U.
...they do?
I mean, clearly the Koopalings are going to be Wario alts.

As for team colors, this is handily solved by a colored outline around the Clown Car, I'd imagine.

Who could get they for commentary, though? None of the NA players are going to Gamescom afaik. I don't know of any German Smash players... (doesn't mean they don't exist but I can't name any off the top of my head).
#‎Nintendo‬ is looking for a german co-host for the tournament of ‪#‎Smashbros‬ that will take place on the ‪#‎gamescom2014‬ !
If you wanna be one of the 3 co-host that Nintendo is looking for, you just have to go to one of this communities and participate in this contest with some examples of yourself as a commentator

If you are selected, you will get a free copy of Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and another for Wii U when the game launches, and you can choose 3 Amiibo figure to get on them launches as well!!
Let us know if you have been selected!
Did they ever specifically go out of their way to establish enemy hierarchies for the non-Prime Metroid games? .
Apparently, you can apply to commentate.

Nothing about that is unpopular. I mean, I'm asusming you're putting Prime 2 above Prime 1, which, while I'll respectfully disagree, it's definitely an opinion I've seen multiple times on this forum. Other than that, this is close to probably 90% of metroid lists. The only change I'd make is to the A Tier, but all three of those games would still be in the A tier for me.
The Primes and the regular Metroids are like two different series to me. I can barely compare them.
Prime 2 holds a special place in my heart almost purely due to Torvus Bog and Sanctuary Fortress. From an environmental art standpoint, they remain unmatched in the entire series.

Nintendo of Canada employee is either misinformed or lets slip that rayman is playable.

All interesting ideas. As strange as the Clown Car with eight different characters would be, there are actually some simple fixes for the proposed problems:
- Give each Koopaling one unique taunt that carries over to the Clown Car's three different taunts.
- Keep the Car and its drivers as one character, with the victory screen including all of the Koopalings and the Car in one animation.
- Exclude the dome so that the characters themselves can pick up items and duck into the Car as a crouch.
- Their Final Smash could cause the Car to grow larger and have all of them appear inside of it, allowing them to throw out their own unique attacks at once (Lemmy's bombs, Wendy's Rings, ect.)
lol he probably just saw that trophy and assumed.
