I don't care WHAT sakurai does to rayman, I won't be happy he's included

Normally I get upset when people specifically don't want someone to be included because it's not doing THEM any harm, but in this case, rayman getting in would really upset me.

Same exact dilemma. Usually all for any and all character inclusions but a coveted 3rd party slot for a rep from a company that doesn't even support Nintendo is weird. And raymans just not on the level of sonic Mario mega man and Pac man. He's like a C list celebrity

But the Koopalings shouldn't/wouldn't play the same, and that's part of the problem. I might put stock in the rumor if it mentioned only Bowser Jr., but the Koopaling alts are too nonsensical for me to believe. They don't fight or behave like each other in the Mario games, so why would they all be alternate costumes? I understand color homages, sure, but full-on model changes would be bizarre.

The Koopalings can't all work on the same slot unless they're in the Clown Car due to their different shapes, and the Koopalings don't have a chance to be in the game unless they use the same slot.

We know Lucina was going to be an alt skin. We also know alt skins with unique names, models and appearances are on the table.

I'd be fine with as I like the character and he's got his fans, but I'd rather him not. I posted about it last night, but this is Nintendo's party and, as much a 3rd parties are appreciated, when you get too many you start to run the risk of not keeping the Nintendo focus.

A nintendo employee just said that Rayman is in. Where do you get the probably?

Lol wut? Okay wanna know the difference? First of all Sonic is wayyyyy more intimately tied not only to Nintendo's history but video game history in general, or at all, since rayman is not that notable. Second of all, rayman might was well not exist if you're going to compare their popularity.

I continued watching the footage just for the heck of it and he was referring to Kirby's hammer as an item. Then there was a bit where nobody had any idea how to activate final smashes. I would say that his knowledge of the game itself is pretty low and he's probably just there to showcase it, not as a tester.

Pic of the Day: Bomberman blasts in. We based him off of his Bomberman B-Daman appearance so this Bomberman shoots marbles from his chest instead of planting bombs since we already have a bomb user in the guise of Link. Smash Brothers is a great way to remember a characters more unusual traits.

Hey guys, I'm really starting to feel the hype of the upcoming Smash release, so I'm making a big poll for this thread for who the overall favorite Smash Bros. character is from the past three games. In this case, favorite is a combination of favorite because of the games they come from and how they are implemented in Smash. Once we only have 20 POTD's left, I'll start counting down from the 20th to 1st as we approach the Japanese release. I even have an area in the poll for you type out why you think they're the best, so we can post some user quotes with each reveal along with whatever banner I make for the character...I've gotta thing for countdowns.

I'm making it right now, but I wanted to get your opinion on something: Should Mario/Dr. Mario be given the same spot for voting purposes? I feel like splitting them up would sort of ruin the accuracy of those characters popularity as people who play one often play the other, so making them choose sort of splits the votes unnecessarily, but I'm not sure. Link/Toon Link/Young Link would also need be considered, and maybe even Zelda/Shiek (though, I was planning on counting them as one character). But then, Samus/Zero Suit Samus would have to be considered different, so...you see the confusion.

Should I just go with whether or not they've gotten an actual roster spot on the character select screen? Would appreciate your help, thanks!

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but I think this is rather interesting.
I was at Gamestop to get a Wiimote, when the cashier asked if I wanted to preorder anything. I said I wanted to for the WiiU Smash bundle but at a later time. Then she said, "We're doing a preorder bonus for the game that let's you unlock a character in the game without having to do the requirements." I didn't ask who, but looking back I should've. Regardless, hearing that left a weird taste in my mouth, so to speak.

Well we got an accessory with R.O.B so clearly a cartridge can't be entirely out of the question.
