Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

Better than ever, honestly. Trying old tricks didn't work, like short-hop-bomb-bag. Too much landing lag. Felt quick, strong, responsive, and his recovery, as I said, was insane.

Hard to get a REALLY good feel with items on, FFA, and only 2 minutes, but having played Link almost exclusively for all of smash bros, he felt phenomenal. Definitely felt improved.

Slightly improved or Bowser improved?

Hard to tell in a 2 minute setting, but I doubt it's bowser level of improved.

On the other hand, I felt like toon link was nerfed, but maybe it was just that I couldn't get over the loss of his pogo-down-air. No more bouncing :(

If masked man were awake, I'd ask him. He played the japanese demo and basically mained palutena. He'd know.

I'll start with NicoNico (and I will be commenting unlike you disable comment scrubs) and then I'll check out the Treehouse stream because I'm sure the NicoNico launch stream will mostly be a lot of people cheering in front of a camera rather than gameplay footage.

YES! I've been more of Samus player, but I always did love playing as Link. Can't wait to pick him up again, plus Fierce Deity alt is a bonus!

Is it Friday yet

Be happy knowing Felix wasn't really in Dark Dawn. As well as half the original cast.

Dark Dawn's plot should have been about finding literally everyone's mothers.

Stupid plot aside, I don't actually dislike DD. It's definitely weaker than TLA, but I think I put it on par with the original, gameplay wise. It had some really cool dungeon puzzle designs and neat cities. The major problems with the games were the completely inane plot, the really redundant dialogue, (present in older games, but not to this degree) and the horrible decision to lock off huge portions of the map after you had gone through them. It just didn't really learn and innovate on top of the past game's mistakes. TLA is a great sequel because it expanded the scale and increased the amount of djinni, characters, and summons. Dark Dawn was just a sidestep.

I'd be fine with the series ending had it just ended on... you know... a final note.

But yeah, I'd love for Issac to be in smash, but it just ain't gonna happen.

Fire Emblem crossover
please :'(

More than a year after it's initial reveal, we know barely anything about it. The only mention of it at E3 was that Codename: S.T.E.A.M. would not take away development time from the crossover, and the crossover's development was going as planned.

Yeah I'd like more info on that.

Kinda surprised FE:A and SMT4 didn't get crossover DLC.

It may happen (talking about that shin megami tensei x fire emblem game) with the stream (sorry edit here) this friday. I'm sure atlus has some things to share now.

Will this game feature the awakening cast? I really hope it does because supposedly this crossover will take place with some fire emblem characters ending up in the real world somehow.

Cynthia would definitely fit in with the drama geeks in school in the real world. lol

yep
although to be honest I only want it for the FE part
I'm excited for both. Mainly because I got into SMT because of SMT4.

So that means IS is the one handling it and not mainly Atlus. At least that's what I'm assuming.

that game is a lie...

I am still waiting for my Fire Emblem Fighting game by arcsys
The moment you stop believing is when it truly dies.

And yes, still waiting on that fighting game to happen.

I would say it's just because it was announced too early...wouldn't surprise me if development didn't even start before the announcement or was at the very beginning stages

only played the first and it was alright...never reallt got around to trying the others

People do realize the Treehouse Stream will probably be them advertising other things right? I mean, Smash is the main event because it draws a crowd, they will be promoting other games in front of that crowd.

They could only play that Miyamoto Giant Robot demo for all I care.

Rating would have gone up for sure lol

from the way he explained it...I wouldn't call it really stripper pole like, just sounds like he exaggerated it with that title(if it does exist) based on that description. Either that or where i draw the line between stripper pole action and not is much further

This is a game I want to play, but for the wrong reasons.

I'm still waiting for a Pacific Rim X Legendary Godzilla fighting game, with all the Kaiju and Jaegers from the fpr,er, and all the monster redesigns from the latter. A crossover film has been brought up before, and they're both Legendary films. It could happen.

Maybe "Project Giant Robot" can fill that gap, but as of right now it's looking like a gimmicky eShop game.

I love Dark Dawn. It is flawed but as a big Golden Sun fan I have to keep it. And it introduced a playable monster class so I'm happy with that.
