Hey, my video's up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld4uQClLd5U
I slept about two hours last night because I stayed up until 4:00 AM combing through my footage from last night's event trying to find new info for y'all, lol. I came up with 100 things - some super small, some maybe only kinda-new, but I hope you guys find some stuff in there to enjoy!

Lost World main theme, seems like. Really hope that Sonic doesn't get shafted again regarding music. I want some new arrangements, not gamerip songs.
Considering how good Sega is with music, I'm actually surprised they're allowing Nintendo to take direct rip offs to represent their mascot.
"Just sit there, give us the list and we will work our music magic"
lost world arrangement, it sounds like?
post onett
It looks great!
Did you guys record any Wuhu Island gameplay?
the inconsistency between which stages get logos for specific games and which get general series logos (as shown here) is kinda odd
like, port town aero dive is decidedly from f-zero gx and temple is decidedly from zelda 2 but for some reason they get generic franchise logos
ah well
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? It's not like they're from franchises that don't have logos!

Ash is probably one of the most aggressively positive people I've seen.
Don't change.
I seriously don't get the appeal of limiting Smash to flat stages with platforms. Traveling stages are among my favorites; they can showcase a huge variety of areas while changing up the layout quite a bit. Stage bosses aren't as common as people like to think (I count three, four if Rayquaza does more than just fly through), and the size of Pyrosphere and Gaur Plain look like the bosses won't be that big of an issue. Walk-off stages are fun, and add a whole new layer of strategy. Bridge of Eldin is one of my favorite stages; it's great for epic showdowns between me and my friends.
People need to quit whining about what's "legal" and what's a "counterpick" and just need to actually get their hands on the game.
When is Garden of Hope going up? I saw some footage in the Preview video Andre posted earlier, and I'd like to see more.

Shafted? Sonic is one of the few game series out there where you could literally blind pick any song directly from any game and have a 99% chance of it being amazing.
I guess you and I have different definitions of "shafted," but if "all" Sonic gets is a hand-picked selection of some of the best songs from throughout his games, that's hardly something to complain about. Rearrangements sometimes end up worse than the originals anyway, as we saw with the Angel Island rearrangement in Brawl (quite good, but not as good as the original).
That said, Mega Man and Pac-Man have both received a handful of rearrangements. I think Sonic probably will too.
Agreed!
Wow, thanks. I really appreciate that. That's something I actively try to be and put out there just because there's already more than enough negativity and cynicism in gaming today, especially gaming coverage.
Also couldn't agree with you more about stages. People need stop complaining (they won't) and go build custom stages that satisfy their very narrow tournament standards (they won't) and let the rest of us have stages that actually go places and do things (they won't).
Not sure about Garden of Hope since I didn't record the footage, but I've asked Andre and will let you know.
But I don't like "tourney" stages. I like some hazards, I just think the majority of them in this game are too intrusive. The videos you guys have put up have been very helpful though, as I now know there are stages with hazards (like the new Mario Circuit) that (IMO) don't ruin the match.
They were like that in Brawl as well, although Halberd now has the KSS logo, as it should.

Another slap in the face to F-Zero fans. They couldn't even bother to spend a minute to add the right logo. Like the series being dead wasn't bad enough.

Could make an argument about Yellow Devil though. In a similar vein, though, I don't think Wily Castle should have the generic Mega Man logo as the castle is very clearly and specifically the one from Mega Man 2.
Whew. I got worried for a second cause Melee Onett's my favorite Smash music piece, and thought it was replaced.
Aside from the bosses which stage hazards look that intrusive? And keep in mind there are 3 stages with bosses. I mean, I thought stuff like Gamer could've been intrusive, but watching videos it really doesn't look intrusive at all
You do realize every time you disagree with someone you basically tell them to GTFO right?
Gamer, Jungle Hijinx, Kalos League, Pac-Land, Wrecking Crew, Garden of Hope, and the boss stages are the ones I'm worried about. I also dislike the big stages since I'm never going to play 8-player smash outside of the inevitable events and challenges that make use of it.
I don't consider myself ultra competitive and I don't really care about legal or pick stages as long as I can play them myself, but I do think some of the 3DS stages are actively annoying. It's a bit like tripping in Brawl -- better players can still win, but tripping just tends to annoy everyone.I seriously don't get the appeal of limiting Smash to flat stages with platforms. and you're not actually quoting any of these supposed people who are saying this and addressing your posts specifically to them
What looks bad about Kalos league? It looked fine to me, and it doesn't seem like Rayquaza will appear often. Gamer concerned me until I saw actual footage and it's hazard seems both tame and easily avoided. Jungle Hijinx seems fine, but maybe better suited to 3 or 4 players. And what's wrong with wrecking crew? Garden of Hope seems pretty typical in terms of hazards, and given the crab just charges in a straight line, it seems easy enough to avoidGamer, Jungle Hijinx, Kalos League, Pac-Land, Wrecking Crew, Garden of Hope, and the boss stages are the ones I'm worried about. No, it's only when I'm talking about people who are complaining nonstop about everything and are making hyperbolic statements like "every stage is garbage and this is the worst stage lineup in Smash history" (paraphrasing). That doesn't help anyone and serves only to bring everything down.
There is such a thing as measured, fair criticism!
And besides, I'm not actually telling anyone to GTFO. I've already made it quite clear I know very well those people are not going to stop complaining.
Just putting it out there, I haven't seen a single hazard in Jungle Hijinxs. Also, I don't believe any of the explosions or collapsing floors in Wrecking Crew hurt you, so I think that stage is hazard-free as well.
Garden of Hope seems to be mostly hazard-free, and Gamer's hazards (via the mother) seem easily avoidable, but that's just based on the videos I've seen.
what a bad mentality to had. Also, this comment doesnt help at all. All you did was to tell people to shut up. Theres people that, in this past year, have made actual great posts explaining what they dont like and why and also expressing that things are not black and white.

Oh, since it seems like Wrecking Crew revolves around the destruction mechanic, it seemed like that would hurt you.
Where are the videos of Gamer, Garden of Hope, and Kalos League? GX only has the water & steel hazards of Kalos League in their video, and they don't have the other two up.
My main concern with Jungle Hijinx is in 1v1. I'm worried that it might be possible to knock your opponent into a barrel, and then play keep away for the rest of the match.

I figured the 'cool down' applied to barrel use would help curb that.
