Super Smash Bros Wii U & 3DS Thread 4: New Year, Old Arguments

I love it.

What? How do you know that?

He need a break, dammit!

Proabably misread this but it's from his recent comments on balance.

“Now that Sunday’s day off is past, I’m currently working on the character adjustment for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U,” says Sakurai. “At the moment, Bowser is very strong. He’s really strong. Fans of Smash Bros. probably never saw him as too much of a strong character, but this time, his ability to knock others out is very strong!”

""So there's been a flood of "leaks" and "prophets" on here lately.
Or should I say people who say "I'm not prophet. I'm no troll." And then claim to leak copious amounts of information.

Which, as somebody who actually knows a few things, I can say that just about every single leak has almost entirely false information, with any true information being good guesses. Don't believe a single leaker that you read on here. None of them are even close to getting anything right, and I mean literally none of them. The roster is extremely clever, the stages are interesting, the game modes are fun and engaging. Everything is beyond the creative capabilities of anyone on these forums.

Best Smash ever? Hands down. Just wait until the next couple of reveals--there's so much more in store than hasn't been revealed yet that I'm not going to spoil, stuff that nobody else could come up with. I will say that there are a fair amount of hints in some of the daily pictures that are going to be pretty amusing once more is revealed."

Seems like the break drove some mad.

lol... Poor Sakurai

He already contradicted himself since he said that he actually know a "few" things but at same time, he know the roster, stages, game modes, etc. It allowed me to say one thing, he's full of it.

Hey there, false prophet.

The first fake rumour I want to believe to

Not sure about the main part, perhaps a theme from Wii Fit U? Wouldn't surprise me, we had music from future games in Brawl as well (Wario's victory theme was from Wario Land Shake It, for instance).

Nothing that I can recognize, but I never did delve much into the dance mode so it might be something from there.

Is the Falchion Chrom uses in Awakening canonically supposed to be the same one that Marth used in the earlier games?

The reason I ask is because the Awakening Falchion looks a lot different than the Falchion Marth wields in this game, and considering Smash Bros.' unified art style, it would be strange for two completely different designs of the same sword to coexist.

It might seem like a minor detail, but I really think visual uniformity is a big deal. Assuming Marth and Chrom both use the same Falchion, I'd have a hard time imagining Chrom as a playable character.

I would like to toss it out here since I was thinking of E3 2013, and now I realized that we are almost half way to see E3 2014. Date for E3 2014 is June 10-12 2014, and we still have 6 months and 5 days to go. :P

So it made me pondering "Would we still get epic trailers for Smash, or would we got our hand on the game before E3 happened?"

It's canonically the same one, yes.

We will have a few Nintendo Direct, then an amazing E3 2014 with Zelda Wii U and stuff we couldn't dare to dream.

Game is releasing October/November, it's the best game ever.

http://serenesforest.net/wiki/index.php/Awakening_Supports/Lucina_Owain

Owain: "But where fang meets sinew, Falchion remains a mortal work. Even genius cannot hope to stop the turning of the great wheel! And so it is reborn with each generation; transformed, butever the same in spirit."

Lucina: "Hmm... But parts of the sword other than the blade DO wear out over time. The guard and pommel have been replaced over the years, changing its appearance. But it remains Falchion still."

Yeah, they're the same sword. Marth can even equip Falchion in that game (Chrom and Lucina are the only other characters than can).

I completely say we could get it before E3, and november is too late for it.
I'm actually hoping it takes a while. I want as much content, balancing, and polish as possible! It needs to be able to stand the test of time, since we probably won't get another Smash game for quite a few years.
