My friends dad has a friend who works for namco bandai and has shared some information with me through email.

Mii will be playable with their own designed movesets by sakurai

Ridley is a stage hazard

Diddy and dixie areseparate

Toon Zelda/tetra is playable

The pic of the day is in fact from adventure mode

Falco is returning

Ness and lucas are returning

Audino is a pokeball

The third party newcomers besides megaman include bayonetta and pacman

Tournament mode is now online

Snake is cut

Chrom is a newcomer

Some characters will have alt costumes

The phantom is a assist trophy

Yoshi is returning

The game is planned to release in june after E3

Ike is returning

Lucina is a assist trophy

Jigglypuff is cut

On a bit of a tangent, I hope some of the ways we unlock characters in Smash 4 are fun/funny. Imagine you had to engage Palutena in codecs on a Kid Icarus stage a certain number of times and the last time she's all "you know it seems more fun down there, brb".

Yeah, we (not Namco Bandai) are also pretty secretive about projects in that the dev teams are all scattered about and we don't really have access to a lot of info about projects unrelated to our own.
That said, hope you can use your clout and get in a few rounds while you're around!

TBQH, one of the biggest reasons I support Palutena is for the potential of the Kid Icarus duo just Super Paper Mario's writing/MST3K-ing the entire Smash Bros experience. Fourth wall humor is the best when done right.
