I want Ridley, too. Pyrosphere hasn't burned me yet.

Well I said as a major antagonist, yes? I know he also was in the Wii racing game (Barrel... Blast? Something with Barrels), and the music game, but those 2 are spin-offs. His appearances there have as much relevance as, say, Dry Bones' in the Mario spin-offs appearances. Does Dry Bones being a pretty regular character in Mario Kart, Mario Party and Mario sports games make it more likely he is included in Smash? Probably not.
Also, of course I didn't include the remakes of the DKC ports for the GBA.

Was he in any other games? I don't remember him being in any other games.

It was called Donkey Kong Barrel Blast in America, Donkey Kong Jet Race in Europe, and Donkey Kong Barrel Jet Race in Japan. I personally think it should have been called Donkey Kong Barrel Blast Jet Race Extreme Flash Ace Ape.

I think it was somewhat significant that he kept on popping up in Donkey Kong games during a period where Nintendo seemed to be experimenting with the franchise. He was seen as the villain, even without Rare, and appeared as such until a new team took control of the main games.

Yeah it would have made no sense to have outlines on NPCs.

Wii U version has semilower poly and less detailed models, 3DS's assists will probably be very toned down as well. Outlines were meant to separate the playable characters from everything else.

So, if leak is real, Palutena is probably playable.

Couldn't it also just be someone who is really clever with custom 3D modeling that made it seem like it was a pic for the 3DS version of Smash Bros. It's not like people haven't gone to great lengths to fool people before.

I thought we established from the Brawl GAF days that he definitely reads NeoGAF. If anyone had doubts, they were shattered with both the footstool jump and Metroid assist trophy reveals taking place right after someone got upset that people were making fun of the idea of a playable Metroid's moveset citing that "Mario should only KO people by jumping on them."

This brings up a good point. If we're operating on the assumption that the leak is real, which some of us are, then we should start analyzing the pictures to figure out stuff like how big she is compared to other characters. We can use Mario for scale.

From what I can tell, Rosalina and Palutena are around the same height (standing a head taller over Mario), while Zelda and Link are just about the same height, who also are around the same height as Mario.
