There has been some but nothing I would call major, imo. Devdan from Path of Radiance exist. lol. And I think Anthony Higgs was pretty major. He was Samus's friend from her Galactic Federation days as seen in Other M and also helped her take down Ridley at one point in time in.

Hey guys, I found 2 Wii U deals on craigslist and I'd like your opinions

Option 1 - $300
-Comes with Deluxe Wii U and Gamepad
-Nintendo Land and NSMBU/Luigi U
-Blue 3DS XL
-Harvest Moon, Mario Kart

Option 2 - $225
-Deluxe Wii U with Wind Waker HD

I'm not sure if I should take the binge cause it sounds like a good deal, especially the XL deal where I can just resell the XL and get like 100+ dollars back.

Definitely option 1. Just resell the 3DS if you don't want it and bam. Super cheap Wii U.

$300 for a Deluxe Wii U and 3DS XL? Damn. The bare minimum you'd get back for the XL is $75 at Gamestop so I'd say resell the XL on craigslist and enjoy the console
 
Anyone else really digging Lucario's design this time around? I was indifferent to him in Brawl, but on WiiU and 3DS his colors really *pop* and the new facial expressions give him a lot of personality. My interest was piqued enough to look up videos and refresh myself on how he plays. Now he's the veteran I'm most itching to play again in the new games. Well, among the announced veterans, anyways. Bowser still takes the cake as my favorite overall... until Mr. Game & Watch returns.
 
Well, they still have a lot of develoment time in their hands and they have revealed a ton of content, so I'm optimistic about them bien able to add more things the game. I don't think we'll get characters put in in the last 4 months of development but we'll probably get a good set of scenarios, items and/or gameplay modes.

Yeah. For me, it even made me start Brawl to play as Lucario a bit. My Lucario skills have almost disappeared... Or Smash skills in general. I get beat by the CPU more than I'd like to.

Now I hope for Lucas to return. Probably my favorite in Brawl right there. I love a good zoning character.
 
Lucario is ok, only used him in the story and once or twice in multi so I don't mind him returning

I still bet a number of people complaining still won't get a Wii u when smash releases

So, I'm assuming Smash won't be here until 2015 then. I'm taking the "by the end of 2014" to be a cover-up before an inevitable delay or Japan 2014 only.

I feel as if both games will release in 2015. So much for Sakurai saying he was "at the point of wanting to release Smash ASAP".

Oh well. I didn't expect it until Q3 at the earliest, but now it seems a 2014 release is very unlikely. Disappointing. Especially as I want to play on 3DS and the comment had no such mention of it.

Not getting it out in 2014 worldwide would be a joke of massive proportions. It's way too early for them to even know if they'd have to delay it.

Q3 qualifies as "the end of 2014" in some context.

I'd have to go with option 1. The cheapest you'd find Wii U deluxe with just nintendoland in retail is about $265, and that 3DS XL is worth far more than $35.

Pretty certain it'll launch world wide. if "X" is listed as a 2014 global release, there's no excuse for Smash not to be a global release either. Plus, Nintendo's stated they're trying for more global releases.

So if we're talking global release, why did the statement only mention Wii U?

Q4 is end of 2014.

It's gonna be delayed until 2015 with the 3DS game releasing a few months later. I'm willing to avatar bet on it.

I was commenting on Nibel's misinterpretation since the origin source said that they will have the games out by end of the year, NOT AT THE END OF YEAR. I would rather to see developers to working on the game until they feel that they are ready to finish with the development, but you should have seen how people reacted in other thread. I can't believe that people would rather to rush the game because they want the games in their hand instead of letting people finish it on their term.
 
On the salt wall, I just realized that I want to slap the person who said "Mega Man" was the only good newcomer so far.

Villager is the perfect embodiment of an Animal Crossing character that anyone could ever ask for, Wii Fit Trainer is ingenious, and Rosalina is at least really unique.

I see this setinent often though, not just with him.

ALSO, I just realized why some people don't like Lucario.

Because Lucario "replaced" Mewtwo in many eyes, I believe Lucario has become the face of Brawl and if people don't like Brawl, they take it out on Lucario.

People should realize that Lucario being revealed this early is good for Mewtwo's chances.

Well, with the fact that many people strongly believe that Lucario is one that kicked Mewtwo out of Super Smash Bros Brawl instead of facing the fact that Sonic is the one that screwed Mewtwo out of the chance to be in the game.
 
I'm here for my monthly, where is Solid Snake post.
Thus far from all of the replies I have pieced together his chances still sit at maybe.

Reasons
-Sakurai and Kojima from my knowledge are still friends
-Snake's brawl appearance didn't include a new game release thus his appearance in Smash might not need one.
-Snake Eater 3D came out so that's something
-His moveset is just too good to throw away.

That's all I got.


Rally hope he makes it back in. Loved him as the outsider character and he's what got me into Smash in the first place. I know other people as well who jumped into smash because of his inlusions. Not to mention other's who experienced his games for the first time because of his inclusion as well.

Also I don't want to hear any of that Nintendo History/Museum nonsense as to why he shouldn't be in this time.. Guys already been in Smash so that alone is enough at this point.
 
I'm still sticking by a Fall 2014 Wii U release. I forgot what I said before in this thread, either September or October I think.
So maybe November or December 3DS release.

Ok I got ya. Some are just getting too impatient and need some new Smash. I want the game to be as polished and balanced as possible when it releases. I highly doubt there will be delays, most of us know why Brawl got delayed. Plus with Bandai Namco and other various people it should be solid.
 
All these "____ is taking ____'s spot!" is ridiculous. I strongly doubt Sakurai has ever thought about it in those terms.
