Yeah I know. I am asking if people think the racing theme would get tired if all four of those racing franchise had a stage in the upcoming Smash?

I don't think so, but it would be a lot of the same thing, just in different environments.

I could see a Wave Race and Excite combo stage working well.
 
I'm still selling those turnips (or rather, gathering them). I'll get to that stage roster after I'm done, I swear! I totally did not buy 3 million bells worth of turnips to sell >.>

Both designs are pretty good at least.

Blaine on the other hand... no idea how I feel about his anime design. Looks nothin' like Blaine and definitely not as cool.

That really sounds like such a boring leak, haha. Mostly veterans with Wolf and Lucario thrown in.

I hope Sakurai keeps more newcomers secret this time around.
 
You know, the more I look at the Game of Thrones parody banners, the more I'm starting to really REALLY like the Wolf one, haha.
The "We do not clone" line is just absolutely perfect.
 
Since we were talking about mains/sub-mains before...

SSB64: Pikachu (Ness)
SSBM: Peach (Jiggly, Ness)
SSBB: Lucas, Peach (Lucario, Pit, Wario)

Lucas, Peach, and Pit are my Top 3, though, and I honestly don't mind if Lucario doesn't make it back.
I genuinely think he's a fun character, though!

My question, though: if Lucario doesn't make it back in and is replaced by a newer Pokémon, who might they choose? None of the XY Pokémon revealed thus far strike me as having enough appeal/"status" to be THE representative of the generation. Does that mean we could be seeing a creature from the BW era instead?

It really seems like they want Mewtwo to be this gen's featured 'mon, considering he gets special treatment with multiple mega evolutions.
 
I think Mewtwo is coming back, with its
mega evolution
and I don't think Lucario is going to be removed either, since it still is one of the most popular Pokémon out there, not to mention it also has a
mega evolution
.
 
Yeah he has seperate mega evolutions simply titled mega evolution x and mega evolution y. The one they've been showing for a while is the y evolution and the more visually interesting of the two. The x one looks ugly imo.
 
Lucario and Zoroark were the first Diamond/Pearl and Black/White Pokémon announced, respectively, and they featured in the first movies with elements from those games. Similarly, Mega Mewtwo was the first X/Y Pokémon announced and he starred in the first movie with X/Y elements.

Mewtwo is definitely going to be in this. Even though he's an old Pokémon, he's been renewed as the face of X/Y. Of course, there are X and Y Mega Evolutions of Mewtwo, and even the titles X and Y have a lot to do with Mewtwo and its association with DNA.
 
I could really see either Mewtwo or Lucario making it. Honestly, I could see MegaMewtwoX taking Lucario's moveset and MegaMewtwoY taking the original Mewtwo's (tweaked, of course) and giving you the option of either.

Maybe as a transformation in the vein of ZSS only you can choose which. Or just trigger them at will... though that makes him pretty similar to Pokemon Trainer.

The biggest barrier for me with Mewtwo is that it'd be weird not to take advantage of his new forms but at the same time I'm not really sure how you could implement them elegantly. In Sakurai we trust I guess.

Just looked them up, the x one is weird; looks like he lost a lot of weight and is still carrying all the excess skin in his arms and thighs.
 
Mewtwo's down special move could be something called "Equip Mega Stone," where he strikes a brief pose as an X- or Y-shaped aura appears behind him in a flash, disorienting anyone in the immediate vicinity. His Final Smash would transform him into the version of Mega Mewtwo signified by the most recent "Equip Mega Stone" performed. Just an idea.
 
So even the ribbon thing is in this thread lol.

Anyway, I'll still hold onto the belief that the most Sylveon will get in this game is a pokeball feature.
