Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

I have had project m for about 2 months. It's awesome! Gave some nice variety to brawl to tide me over Til the new release. Not sure about wi-fi, I only ever play local multiplayer with family/friends.

I definitely have different mains/favorites when it comes to project m. I absolutely love all of lucario's tweaks and DeDeDe is freaking boss

So we got 16 characters thus far and you expect around 50? This is gonna be my first Smash Bros game so I'm super duper excited. Are there always a lot of "clone" characters? Or many characters from the same franchises?

My wish list:
1. Sonic
2. Ice Climbers

Do the ice climbers have a good chance of returning?

And were Mii a playable character in the last entry?

There aren't generally a lot of clone clones. Usually half of the clones are half unique and there's up to like 3-5 of "clones" in the previous games (except 64)

Ice Climbers should have a good chance of returning, there's no reason to cut them as they've been in the series since their debut with Melee.

Miis weren't playable in Brawl, only used as avatar icons for online matches. But there is a good chance they'll be playable this time.

Great to find a new die hard fan (let's face it, once you've played any smash you become a for hard fan). It's always surprising to me when I find a gamer who hasn't played any of the smash's. I've been a giant fan since I got the 64 version for my birthday.

I would say that there is a good chance that ice climbers will return. I think the only we can really guarantee are coming back are all the original 12. They've appeared in all three despite some of the characters waning relevance/popularity ( Captain Falcon, Ness, Jigglypuff)

Hope you don't mind getting your hopes up and then crushed every couple weeks now that you are here at smash GAF

Icy what you did there. But Popo and Nana are the quintessential ice pick.

It can be cold, there's snow way they won't make it in. As in absolute zero. Ice Climbers do not need to winter slot back from anyone. So suff-ice to say, chill and stay frosty.

All this complaining is why we can't have ice things.

I really hope that Ice Climbers survive the cut, and Mii were rumored to be in the game. I don't know how reliable the source it is. However it's more likely because we got Wuhu/Pilotwings Stage.

That would be a great Christmas present. Seriously the IC are like the best character in SSBB/M that never get played. So much stuff that can be done with them and perhaps one of the only ways I still have fun with SSBB's low skill ceiling.

It'd be an intresting character reveal for sure.
Though, do we know if Sakurai will be posting a picture that day? He might be on Holiday.

A pro IC player (ever hear of the term wobbling?).

and I wasn't talking higher level play guys... Trust me I know all that stuff I just never met another IC player in person because they are very rare
 
I never got the complaints about the chilly chain grabs from tournament spectators. I always thought that it was fun to watch when it was done well.
