Playstation allstars had a lot more 3rd party, not to be rude or anything but smash bros isnt that sacred to me. I do not have too much reverence to it as some sacred thing with a sacred roster. I care about the characters more than the roster to be quite honest. So if eggman would make a cool fit, go for it.

You have no idea if that is true or not actually. Be mindfull games are not made by one person, plans can change.
And sakurai has/ is/ will do things that suprise us. Do not put too much stock imaginary code you have made for yourself.

The roster has already been decided if I'm not mistaken. He plans out the entire roster at the beginning of the game's development. I might be wrong on that, but I remember hearing about that.

But I dunno out of all the 3rd parties to get in the game, if Mega Man had Protoman or another version of megaman relivant to nintendo. Or if Sonic brought shadow or tails along.
Everyone would be hype. No seriously the main audience for this game would be hyped. And no one would care really.Because people associate these characters with nintendo so much already it wouldn't really seem weird. There is a large portion of the audience that calls Samus, Iron Man. And to be quite honest, at least for me i wouldn't find it weird. More interested in the fighting game.

I would have mixed emotions. I'd be hyped (since I'm biased towards Eggman) but at the same time would be concern about the care for the roster. In the end, it would justify people's ridiculous third party wishlists and I would be worried if the franchise decides to bring in so much third parties, thus hurting the Nintendo theme.

I have a feeling Sakurai is the type of person who would move on to the next project after finishing one. It's a bit hard to imagine him spending another year or something of development on a game that's already released. But who knows.. at least on the DLC part. I still don't think we'd ever get more characters from the same franchise.
Can't wait til they release them in Vols starting next month. Heard they're very good.

Like I said before, Megaman and Sonic get special treatment. They are honorary nintendo at this point. People associate them with nintendo so much at this point no one would mind epically the non internet forum majority of the audience.
however Snake couldn't bring anyone the hell else. He is already kind of a sore thumb, and while gray fox and raiden are cool, would not fit well in smash bros.

So if the Pikmin stage is Garden of Hope from Pikmin 3, I'm guessing we have a good chance of Rock and Winged pikmin making an appearance. This is something I hope for.

Depends on which Sonic character. Only ones that I'd be cool with playable-wise are Tails, Knuckles and Eggman.

Eggman is tied to Sonic possibly even more than Bowser is to Mario. It was strange in Brawl to have one but not the other, at least in some form beyond static trophy.

I do too. I still really want Meowth though, but his chances seem so slim. It's crazy when you think about how Jigglypuff got in. It was the anime, yet she hasn't had an appearance since an Advance Generation episode. She's pretty safe since she's a part of the original 12 though.
Maybe one day, Meowth. Mewtwo was my main in Melee so I'd be more than happy to have him back.

Kirby and Pikmin characters are tiny in their respective series. Also, the two captains (Olimar and Falcon) are next to each other.
