Hail to the KING baby
Roper v. Simmons, which I'm sure lawyers, law students, "law fans," and "law majors" everywhere on GA have been following.

Held: The Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments forbid imposition of the death penalty on offenders who were under the age of 18 when their crimes were committed.

Kennedy delivered the opinion, with Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg, and Breyer joining. Stevens and Ginsburg with a concurring opinion. Scalia, O'Connor, Rehnquist, and Thomas dissenting.

The entire opinion can be found here- http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/04pdf/03-633.pdf

I take it you missed the daily Oli insanity.

Haha really? I did a quick (apparently too quick- 'supreme court') keyword search but turned up nada. Oh well at least I was spared Olinsanity I suppose.

Just wondering, but how common is the "18 is a good number because other things happen at 18" thing used? Just seems kind of weaksauce considering it's the only argument given for 18 being the new limit against Thompson's 16.
