Roper v. Simmons, which I'm sure lawyers, law students, "law fans," and "law majors" everywhere on GA have been following.
Held: The Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments forbid imposition of the death penalty on offenders who were under the age of 18 when their crimes were committed.
Kennedy delivered the opinion, with Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg, and Breyer joining. Stevens and Ginsburg with a concurring opinion. Scalia, O'Connor, Rehnquist, and Thomas dissenting.
The entire opinion can be found here- http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/04pdf/03-633.pdf
