They're always going to be doing it like that now because of the filming schedule. At least it's not Samoa for the fifteenth time, it'll only be the second season in the Philippines. And hopefully they saved their budget a little and have more water challenges next season.

Some of the names on that list are truly horrifying.
 
Brenda is my choice! Loved her the first time she played. Everyone else I root for will be based on the first few episodes.

I don't care about her, none of the girls bother me. (And I'm glad Dawn is back.) The males are really shockingly bad though.

I'm feeling physical pain thinking about it.

It's also severely lacking in the male hotness department. These "fans" better be freaking male models/gay porn stars to make up for it.

The girl choices are really amazing for the most part in my opinion. Usually the female choices are laughable but Brenda, Corrine, Dawn are each dangerous in their own ways. Francesca is a wild card... don't even remember her.
 
Speculation...

If the next season has already been filmed, and the list is true, I don't think that bodes very well for Malcolm. He wasn't looking too chipper at the reunion show.
 
There's a reason you don't remember Francesca. She lasted all of 3 episodes. Redemption Island's first duel victim.

Incidentally, this upcoming season was taped PRIOR to Willie Hantz making an embarrassment of himself while getting removed from the Big Brother house this past summer for headbutting Chef Joe.
So don't perceive this as the Hantzes being back in the good graces of the CBS reality TV family.

corrine being a cunt finally pays off 4 years later, if it wasn't for her comment she would have been just as forgettable as francesca. the women's "favorites" look pretty meh. the men's team should be interesting. erik was a given being that he had the most memorable FvF moment, phillip was an obvious one too. from the favorites side i guess i would have to root for phillip and malcolm, the rest i don't care for.

LOL at some of the other ones on the list too. Most are not very memorable for me. I guess Survivor is running out of people who want to come back and play the game. If the certain someone I spoiler text'd is indeed back I'm hope he goes packing first. I couldn't imagine the horrors of watching another season of him. ugh.
 
I like that none of the favorites have returned before, instead of the same repeats. What other females could they have chosen though? I still feel the females are great choices. I mean other then Kim/Stephanie/Sophie I fail to remember many other options that would have offered a great dynamic.
 
That was a great season. Too bad I was banned for most of it.

Anyway, I love that cast for Camaroan. Those people have so little business interacting with each other it'll be awesome.
Phillip and Brandon? On the same fucking tribe? I think an event horizon of crazy will be hit.

Yeah. That prick, Colton and Russell are the three fuckers I never wanna see on my TV ever again.
 
Thoughts:

Lisa's speech on the reunion show made no sense at all.
Penner was masterful at tribal Council.
Dawson running and attacking Jeff was just awesome. And she's hot.
Malcolm should've won fan favorite.
 
Really happy to see Denise win, what a powerhouse. The FTC made it seem like she blew her chance, yet Penner's voting confessional was "you was perfect babes".

Shame the most unbearable castmate won FF, her presence at the reunion show alone was terrible.
 
Wow, that was one of the best seasons of Survivor I've watched in a long time (especially after the dreadful last season). I can't believe
Denise
won though. Heading into that final tribal council I thought it was going to be extremely close between
Denise and Skupin
, and then after listening to the two of them I thought
Denise
totally ruined
her
chances.
She
was completely rude, egotistical, and unpleasant. God knows I would have considered voting for
her
heading into that, and there was absolutely no way I'd vote for
her
after
her
comments.

I feel really bad for
Skupin
though. I
thought he
was going to let
his
ego get the best of
him
and keep
Malcolm
in the game, and when
he did
the smart thing and tossed
Malcom
I
felt he
truly deserved to win.
 
As cynical as I am about this show and despite my many (many many) gripes with the way it's run, seasons like this one are the reason I still watch the show.

It's tough to be cynical when it keeps producing deserving winners.
Survivor has a track record in that department that would prove highly difficult for any other reality TV series to match.
 
It was a real shame, malcolm didn't win as he was definitely the most deserving. Now skupin and lisa are going to wonder about their choice of taking lisa.

I think the final tribal pitches by all 3 were piss weak. Skupin should have made more of his age + experience with the game.
 
Denise was always given the winner edit.

Those who were fooled into thinking or hoping Malcolm would win: rule number one of reality TV - the over the top likeable competitor won't win. Denise was more complex, had confrontations, struggled more.

Don't get fooled next season peeps!

Great season that got better and better until we took it for granted; slightly disappointing final stretch and redeemed as usual.

Sandra, Sophie, Kim and Denise showing up their male predecessors and competitors.

Look forward to the next All Stars in 2015.

Taking Denise, you mean? I don't know if they talked about this on the reunion (I went to bed right after the winner reveal), but I can't imagine Skupin & Lisa would've had a significantly better chance against Malcolm.

Overall, this was a pretty great season. Good casting, good editing, some nice twists, and a winner I don't hate. Next season is going to have its work cut out for it, in terms of being as all-around great as this one was...and judging from that cast list, I have my doubts, since I can barely remember half of them. Disappointed there's no return of

or
Sophie
. Neat to see
Francesca
back, though...I've always thought that, in some respects, it would be interesting to bring back people who got eliminated early, rather than ones who lasted awhile -- Survivor: Losers Edition!

He couldn't use it.
He kept it for insurance up until the F5 tribal council when Abi got sent packing.
It was ineligible to be used after that. And he didn't need it at that council as he won immunity himself and refused to give it to Denise.

I stupidly would like to see a twist where he gets to bank his unplayed hidden immunity idol and bring it with him to Survivor Caramoan. But that would ultimately be rather silly.

Not that it mattered but I thought it was bullshit that Penner exposed Lisa being on Facts of Life. That shouldnt have been relevant and he just came off like another bitter jury member.

I totally agree. It's a fundamental aspect to the game.


I thought the start was weak but post merge this was a good season. It was a pretty likable final four without being too boring. The best part was seeing Malcolm lose and get voted out(having said that he would be a great pick for an all-stars season). I don't totally believe that informal poll of who would have voted for Malcolm if he was in the final. I wasn't really cheering for Denise but she played a good game and I can live with her winning although her arrogant speech put me off a bit.

I was hoping Carter for FF but didn't expect it. I'm glad it wasn't Malcolm. I think if they had Player Favorite Carter could have won that.

I actually thought Lisa was gonna win. I thought Tandang would go loyal but all but RC went bitter. I was especially surprised Abi went Denise when Lisa was so nice to her. All the others voted as expected.

Even though I agree with what people are saying about RC as a person in real life I don't get why her tribe didn't like her. I thought she played a pretty disciplined game and did the right thing most of the time but she just couldn't seem to get a break.

I also don't buy this Abi bad edit thing. Sure you can take things out of context to a point but it doesn't explain why so many people couldn't stand her. Even people like Skupin and Denise that seemed pretty easy to get along with strongly disliked her.
 
The fantasy re-votes Jeff does at the reunion show mean next to nothing since at that point everyone has seen the season on TV and been out of the game for months. The whole point of the game is the jury voting then and there, and with the information they've got from the players from playing.

Sometimes they reveal information we wouldn't have known otherwise- like Jerri actually getting a landslide win in HvV had she won the final IC.

It's completely relevant in a game where the final outcome is heavily based on how people think of you and trust you. List knew that revealing her history would put a larger target on herself throughout the game (just like Jeff Kent) and thus hid information that people would likely consider important.

She was a coaster. Worthless in challenges. Also, she's kinda dumb. Malcolm was 200 times the player.
 
Damn, good ending to a great season. A little bummed Malcolm didn't win, but he screwed himself honestly. Denise is a great winner. For a second during the final jury I was a little worried Lisa would get with some of the questions. Glad I was wrong though.

That jury was a lot more bitter than I thought they would be. It is something about survivor that makes these people so damn bitter. Sure, seeing every tribal right in front of you and seeing people go farther who don't deserve to would piss you off but still, survivor jurors some how take it to a whole different level.

Next season talk:

Instantly rooting for Brenda and Malcolm.

She was obnoxious. She dominated the edit despite doing nothing. We had multiple episodes centered around "Lisa contemplates making a big move and has 10 confessionals about it, only to not do it". She cried about everything. She repeatedly talked about how "You don't play Survivor, Survivor plays you" (she must have said that at least three times). She constantly talked about religion and prayer. She cried to Penner about the fact that she was voting him out.

That's a shortlist of reasons a lot of people dislike Lisa.

I just hated how she made out like she was some massively strategic player when all the moves she tried to make failed miserably. She wasn't in control of the game anymore than I was viewing at home and it was plainly clear. If she was a threat to anyone she would've been voted out long ago.

Yeah, basically this. I couldn't stand Lisa. I'm really happy Denise won. Very deserving winner and a great underdog story, especially since she's an older woman. That's three female winners in a row, I don't think that's happened before.
