Amazing how something with a bigger/better screen and just as, if not MORE, powerful is in a much sleeker and smaller design/form factor.
Nintendo engineers have truly outdone themselves with Switch 2.
I'll be waiting for the redesign.i want an oled switch 2! NOW!
Strange answer. When creating a mobile device, use mobile hardware, no?One is using mobile hardware, the other uses desktop architecture. The size/cooling has less to do with Nintendo/Valve and more to due with Nvidia/AMD's chips.

Me too brother, me too…i want an oled switch 2! NOW!
I'll be playing that three years before the OLED, then I'll upgrade.i want an oled switch 2! NOW!
Both are using mobile hardware… Steam deck doesn't use any desktop parts and if you are talking ARM vs ZEN, the Steamdeck uses the Mobile version of the AMD cpu. Design wise the NS2 is another league.
The ceiling render looks better on the Steam Deck and the Switch 2 lacks the forehead render. But size-wise it looks very good.

Better screen… it depends on what you value. OLED for me puts it a notch ahead, but the sleeker and much smaller form factor. The size is similar, but Steam Deck needs to support far more legacy PC games that were not designed for joypads… it has two large touchpads, a proper DPad, four back buttons, and proper analog triggers on top of being a quite ergonomical design.Amazing how something with a bigger/better screen and just as, if not MORE, powerful is in a much sleeker and smaller design/form factor.

You can add a case for the Switch 2 for better anatomy, but you can't reduce the Steam Deck.Steamdeck has better anatomy for the hands.

Steam Deck is a mobile PC and PC games are developed for x86 architecture, we're not yet to the point where ARM is suitable for PC gamingStrange answer. When creating a mobile device, use mobile hardware, no?
That's all part of the design of the console, you are proving my point…. Also, yes Valve can hire top notch engineers. It's still a chip designed around x86-64 architecture. It's not like Valve can hire the best engineers and make the Steam Deck much smaller, stronger and cooler. The difference is solely due to Nvidias chip than any expert device design.
I prefer the steam deck, over switch, as I got something to hold onto.
That thickness.
Ray tracing is way better on the Steam Deck.
Nvidia crushes AMD in the RT territory.Ray tracing is way better on the Steam Deck.
