I really don't know which of the bazillion Switch threads I should use for asking some general questions, so I figured I'd try this one.


Sadly, when the Switch launches I'll also be away from my apartment for 4 months, living in work accomodation (without a fricking internet connection, but that's another story) and commuting home for most of the weekends. I won't be taking a TV with me so I'll bring a PC monitor with me which has no sound output. I've been doing the same with my PS4 the last time I went there and just used my wireless Sony headset to get sound.

Now on to my probably stupid question: Can I use wired headphones while the Switch is still in docked mode? The only headphone jack seems to be on the tablet unit itself. I don't know if it will forward any sound when it is connected with the dock though. Also, if headphones work, could I use my cheap PC speakers which have a usual 3.5mm plug instead as well?

Weird. Maybe they have restrictions for Europe in place so Amazon can sell the systems at the highest price possible to their consumers (just like Amazon.fr stopped shipping the Switch to Germany at some point).

Amazon doesn't have an Austrian branch and uses its German shop for orders from Austria, so that would really surprise me.

According to this post it was only temporary this seems to have been only temporary but then there's also this here.

If your order went through, you should be fine though. With Amazon.fr it already tells you after visiting the site that shipping is not possible to Germany...

As for the shipping date: I ordered from Amazon.de on February 9th and it says it will be shipped on March 17. So unless they have a lot of cancelations I think it will be hard to get it on the release day from Amazon.de...

In all the orders I have seen, including mine, they say that they will start shipping on March 2nd. So that's the moment/day they will take the payment.
