t-rex or bigass crow?

Big ass crow, no question. Why would I want to bring back the ultimate killing machine? I prefer to be not ultimately killed.

T-Rex, without question. The chicken ancestor we need.

big ass crow.
t-rex is a chump. dude cant even stand upright like he used to. the fuck would i want him for now? his punk ass can stay extinct for all i care. filthy casual.

Crows. They're smart as fuck.

Also we can recreate Dark Souls

Now I want T-Rex in souls series.

Is that crow real?

I always thought there was some physics reason that birds can only get up to a certain size because their bones need to be hollow to remain light enough for flight, and the frailty of hollow bones means they can't become too big.

What about Pterodactyls?
Google says 40 feet wing span!
And there is probably something bigger than that I don't even know about.

It's only fitting that threads about prehistoric animals get dumber and dumber as we inch closer to Jurassic
Dissapointment's
World's release.

I'd rather create genetically modified pigeons that are as big as a T-Rex.

We would see who'd still say that feathered dinosaurs look silly while my monster pigeons would pick up people like pretzel crumbs.

Modern day crows are very intelligent and are omnivores I don't think I'd want gigantic, highly intelligent crows flying around - swooping down from the sky to gobble up children and family dogs. At least with a t-rex you can see them coming and just shoot them with really big guns.

A big ass crow would be way more dangerous. T-Rex ain't shit. I know that one scientist said he was sort of joking when proposing that they were scavengers, but the fact remains that the big ass head would get in the way of effectively killing humans. Crows are super intelligent and not dumb as a rock like the T-Rex.

As much as I love dinosaurs, crows are one of my favorite animals. Love the sounds they make too. Gotta go with that. Crows VS Raptors though .... much harder choice.

Isn't the fact that birds of birds aren't capable of flying off with much more than, like, a quarter to a third of their weight a strong argument against that? The same stories exist about golden eagles, and they are similarly incapable of flying with babies, let alone young children. Even the largest estimates for Haast's eagles doesn't have them being large enough to do much more than snatching a newborn.

According to Wikipedia the main problem with birds carrying a lot of weight is takeoff and landing. This is because the lift generated by a given wing increases with speed. According to the available data on birds in general and Argentavis in particular, it may be possible for it to carry a light weighted human (up to say 80 kg) if takeoff and landing were assisted, so not all hope is lost :)

the only correct answer is t-rex. we already have crows so we know what they taste like and supersizing them gives us nothing but massive bird shits on our cars.

I haven't eaten a t-rex but would like to.

What if it were an African Haast Eagle?

Well, yes, this is why a bald eagle is able to grab larger fish by grabbing it in the water going at high speed than it would be able to lift from a dead stop.

But that's a difference of a few pounds, and the bird still isn't capable of flying with even half of its own weight. I doubt Argentavis could have managed much more than 10 - 15 kg. For it to be able to lift more than its own weight would go against everything we know about other birds, and in any event I think the feeding section in the Argentavis page says everything.
