Tales from the loop - prime

Saw episode 1. Definitely intriguing / beautiful but I find it to be a vibe killer. Not sure I want to feel that way for X number of episodes/seasons.

Yeah they're quite melancholy in tone. I like the way they follow on from each other but are self contained. Really good show.

It's interesting and worth checking out, but kind of left me feeling... whelmed. It displays a bunch of intriguing concepts, but I don't feel it really ever goes anywhere meaningful with them, or the characters.

Well, most of the time. There are some haunting ones.

Gave up watching it. It's horrifically slow and boring and the visuals of the show do a disservice to Simon Stålenha original art.

My last point might sound harsh especially as the show goes to great lengths to be very faithful to the original art. However the Simon Stålenha art book is more than just pretty pictures and the Amazon show looses all of the sense of wonder the original art has by using it as a backdrop to awful characters and story.

1/10 - Shite.

I liked the series. The way all the stories entwine is interesting, but I wish it was a bit more Outer Limits like.

I really enjoyed the series, but it was heartbreaking for me and my roommate. Lots of tears shed, but we both thought it was very well done.

It's very well done and they are not very "nice" to the characters they've established. Which is refreshing in a way.

It has a very somber tone and it takes its time for sure. A couple episodes were filler And didn't feel cohesive to the overall narrative.

I really enjoyed it, hope there's more. I sort of want a little more about what makes the area so special though and why things are like that, but I guess that's part of the "mystery" of the atmosphere.

I enjoyed it but wish it had more to say, or anything to say, really. It's easy to create heaps of tragedy, much more difficult to show how human nature can rise above in the end.

Plus that town had crazy dangerous shit just lying around. Who was running that place?

Do not worry you will not feel that way, you will feel much worse 😢. Its a heart breaking series.

I think it's worth a watch, it definitely lived long in my memory. Some beautiful imagery and OST is fantastic.

One of the best series on Prime. Could be thier Strange Things hit....

Its not action oriented but the setup and ambient is unique....yep a little dark/sad...and slow at the begining but once it advances is faster.
