Well I've seen your posts on GameFAQS's Nonstop Gaming forum. And I'd say your Microsoft hatred over there is insane and funny.

That's just pathetic however. The broken CD and flaming Famitsu. :lol

Wow, here we go again I suppose. Are you a new stalker?

Tales of Graces scans are sorta coming in, info as I get it:

-Graces is 30% complete.
-Battlefields are pretty darn big. Vesperia's battlefield size, or maybe even larger.
-Asbel's personality is more like a leader.
-This is the first time Inomata's designs can be changed into 3D without changes (her other 3D designs were only on the DS before).
-This time the connection between magic and skills has been changed greatly. Skills are used with the normal attack button (I wonder if this includes magic too).
-The illustration and logo are hiding an important hint.

Two years of development and the number they give is 30%? I have a feeling this game is probably going to be January or February 2010 now.

I was wondering why they haven't even bothered to announce voice actors or the heroine yet, they usually always do that by now.

At least it probably confirms that this game will be going through some graphical upgrades from the pics we saw now and the final product.

As long as it's not rushed, I'll be happy... :D

Tales of VS needs more Tear, Norma and Marta :P ...

Tales of VS needs more whatever-that-girl's-name-is. Reposting because 4gamer seems to have prevented hotlinking, making her picture disappear from all previous pages:

I sense your enthusiasm in the new art & character designs by Inomata is very high at this point. :lol

Well, between Disco Swordsman and Best Girl Design Ever, I don't know how much better it could get! Now if only they manage to have a Tales game without a token annoying kid between the age of ten and twelve, we're sure to behold miracles. :O

Genis wasn't annoying in Symphonia. :(

sorry jiggy, the obligatory loli is in. apparently she has purple hair. i've never really been annoyed by the 10 y/o supporting character as much as the idyllic teenage protagonist and his love interest, especially since they don't get much screen time and i don't usually play as them.

Asbel 'Suzaku' Lhant and the girl look pretty okay. I've grown a bit tired of Inomata lately but this pair gives me confidence she can still draw. Anyway, both Inomata and Fujishima have hits and misses. I liked Inomata on PSX more but Fujishima is ahead now with Abyss/Vesperia.

Surprised at the 30%, since this was hinted already like nearly a year ago. Didn't think they would miss December but it looks a bit early now.

I wonder whats the secret hidden in the logo. The white circles come to mind, maybe 2 planets again....or maybe characters will go furry when there's an eclipse. This is still a Tales game after all.

Yeah. Wonder if its more Namco just spacing things out with VS and Vesperia?

Wow that was a fast avatar change jiggy...

We haven't seen the part of her design below her chest yet, so I can't tell for sure how I feel about her.

I really like how well they moved Inomata's design traits to 3D though. :D

Thank god they didn't go the Hearts CG route. *SHUDDERS*

Genis wasn't actually annoying, but I get the feeling he was "supposed" to be, with his penchant for mocking Lloyd. Could be wrong, though. I also didn't dislike Anise, but I think I'm in the minority on that one.

Yeah, hopefully she doesn't pull a Beryl on me.

oh, you meant characters like Genis? i always consider Pricilla to be the token loli of Symphonia, and she wasn't so much annoying as uninteresting. Genis i would consider to be the "shota sidekick," the wisecracking kid who would normally be cool if he wasn't so young and stupid, or a Cousin Oliver.

almost as bad as the rage here when FFXIII was announced multiplatform

either way, its annoying to see the amount of people who are just going to forget about the 360 version and get an Imported PS3 version..

and it explains why the hell the PAL 360 vesperia has taken so long to even get a date..

I guess, but it didn't really have anything to do with the game so I didn't mention anything like that. :lol

Though it seems ToV PS3 started development after the 360 version was released. So my guess is that regardless of how it sold ToV PS3 was going to be made.

Well the theme for the conference this year was "expansion", and how making ToV for the PS3 is a part of that.

I assume this is all just another step in making HD Tales games after Vesperia for both systems.

Yes please. I want to join in on the fun. :(

It's basically just a progression of how PS3 fans wanted a Tales, then numerous fake PS3 Tales games popped up, then this happened and the PS3 fans got happy, some stuff about the 360 version being a beta (and the ones who bought it beta testers), someone breaks the disc and burns a copy of Jump (either as a joke or they were being serious), and then 360 people were betrayed or something like that.

It's nothing that can't mostly be understood by looking at the pictures and the various Opoonas. :lol

ToG looks really good IMO, like an SD Vesperia.

The SS system sounds really neat, too. I'm actually interested in ToG.

Also the main character looks awesome to me.

Thanks for the explanation :) I still can't tell shit with all the text (damn moon language!) but the Opoona high kick is indeed hilarious.

Can't believe that Opoona meme is still so popular. If they're ever making a sequel, it'll sell on that cult power alone. >_<

I assume that, by announcing Graces for Wii, Namco is trying to build up the fanbase on Wii in order to continue the main series there.

If KOEI EVER gets around to making another Opoona, it will probably HAVE to incorporate the meme, in some way.

Less on the RPG aspect, and just go for irreverent-comedic action. :lol

I think it was a joke...believe it was the same person that tore all his copies of Kannagi after it turned out that Nagi wasn't a virgin (or possibly wasn't a virgin) who was also the same person who broke his Memories Off CD for some other reason too just to get a rise out of people

So this is all basically a more elaborate and Eastern version of the "Expert on Japanese Culture" post/meme?

Good show. :lol

A mainline Team Destiny game

Anise and Genis were both decent younger kids.

Tales of Vesperia proves that it could go the wrong way (with Karol).

Oh, if the logo contains a hint, lets start the wild guesses.

The middle thing with the of in it is an exspear, this will be a ToS prequel.

Now you guys go.

So wait, wait wait.

It's made by Team Destiny? Really? My interest has piqued even more now that they've got the A team in charge of this one.

Hint in the logo... hmm... looks like two planets (including the circle behind the 'of'). Is that Sylvarant and Tethe'alla?

Well, it's not like there are any other systems left. They've already tried to build up the fanbase on DS, tried to build up the fanbase on 360, will be trying to build up the fanbase on PS3, and when it comes to PSP they actually succeeded in building up the fanbase.

It's amazing that I can (probably) accurately describe each character's personality just from their character art here

Considering they released an assload of games on the PSP, it makes sense that the Tales fanbase likes the PSP.

Also because two or three of the PSP games were easy ports, so it's no wonder they started supporting it earlier for the platform than the Wii.

It's odd that Abyss hasn't been ported to the Wii yet, completing the Symphonia line on Ninteno's previous, and current consoles.

Abyss takes place thousands of years after DotNW correct?

Also, You can't really argue that DotNW is hardly any better graphically than Abyss, so all BN need to do is add 16:9 and 480p if it didn't already have it, and maybe add some optional motion controls and better yet some new content.

Well they haven't yet. :(

No. Abyss is not a part of the timeline at all. You are thinking of Phantasia.

It's a compass and a meteorite.
They are making their way to Derris Kharlan.. right?! XD
(or the second world/moon/dimension).

...
ToG better be good!

Changes/additions so far:

*New logo
*New character, Patty Fleur, voiced by Chiwa Saito.
*New boss
*New Hi Ougi/Mystic Artes
*New story scenes
*New side quests
*Main story is fully voiced
*Other new voiced content (like new skits)
*Voicework is double the amount of the original
*New animated FMVs
*New costumes
*Content in movie to tie in with the game

I have a feeling you might as well also say that the game is going to be rewritten a little so that Patty (and possibly Flynn?) mold better into the new changes.

I'd hope. I can't shake the feeling he was designed to BE playable during development, anyways (he's in the freaking character collage art).

Judging from the short intro on the official site for ToG, it seems like there's a compass and the game will involve sailing the ocean as its main theme... And somehow the ocean connects to the moon? Either that, or there's going to be a day-night system? I don't know.

Edit: Oh, and according to Nintendo of Japan's website, the only thing different about the Classic Controller Pro is the layout of the controller. No new buttons or anything, so I assume you can use the regular classic controller for ToG as well.
