Oh god I love this game. Absolutely wonderful, I can't stop smiling while playing it.

Maybe I'll post some pics of my little dude tomorrow, he looks so adorable.

This game is so pretty! It's a shame that the pictures it spits out are so compressed.

Just booted up the game to see the pre-order DLC, ended up getting carried away and completing another level :3 28% done!

They are but the in-game camera only focus the small centered box. All the rest of the scene fets completely blurry. I think though that there is a filter that you can buy with confetti that can enhance that. Not sure though...

Also drawing with my fingers is a pain. Not that I have huge fingers, but they obfuscate the line I'm drawing and can't fine tune my sketches before cutting them out. Is there an option to draw with the back panel?

edit: Also, awesome avatar of Scott Aukerman. ;) Love him too.

Loved what I played today. I spent a little while just running through water because the little paper ripples are just beautiful. I expected the touch to feel artificial, but surprisingly it isn't too bad. However it isn't easy or comfortable to move between running around and the giving it a reach around.

Also a shame there aren't save slots - my daughter immediately wanted to play

Edit: how do you get the pictures off? Do they get saved to your photo album?

Should not have entered this thread. So jealous of y'all playin' this. I'm gonna need to pick up a Vita once my funds are more freed up.

Just tried to play the demo to find that my month old Vita has a non-functioning front camera. I can't believe I never noticed. Now I have to wait for it to be serviced and Tearaway is now going to be two weeks out.

Damn it all. I guess I drown my sorrows in Mario 3D World?

I think you have to share them in-game and then they show here in your PSN profile

http://tearaway.me/

You can share them in-game through facebook/twitter and to your tearaway.me profile or you can send them to your Vita Pictures Gallery. They won't be on the screenshots folder though but in the "All" folder.

It also seems that you have an option to have more than one save slot. Press start and in Profile Options select New. You can then have a new slot to your daughter and switch to your slot again with the same setting. I'll do the same with my 4y. boy. ;)

Wow.

This game is really incredible. It's actually making me remember what magic handhelds can be, and with Zelda out today, I think I'm going to pick up a 3DS on BF.

Magic awaits. Cheers.

I really wanted the physical release, but with $15 in my PSN wallet and a $36 price, I couldn't resist going digital.

Physical copy from Amazon is getting ready to ship, because I'm a cheap ass and didn't want to pay for shipping. Sort of regretting that now.

I made it to Gibbet Hill with every level prior to it at 100% so far. Everyone was right in how adorable and charming this game is, but the controls feel pretty responsive too. The touchpad stuff is usually reliable as well. It also fits with the theme of the world and the great art direction strangely enough. It's all been a very well put together game so far. I'm really enjoying it.

So I somehow managed to get this game for $24 at Best Buy. It rang in at $31.99. I looked at the receipt, cause I could've sworn it was $39.99, and it says -$8.00 VID GM BNDL. It was the only thing that I bought. I'm not complaining, but I am confused. Anyone else get this? I also had a $10 gift card to bring it down to $24 with tax. Pretty awesome!

So what's the deal with the bit where you use the microphone to make your pumpkin make a scary noise? Is that actually recording the noise I make? Because it didn't sound like it. Did I just need to shout louder(which is something I really didn't want to do when there are other people in the room with me)?

It does record the noise you make, but it also adds some echo and distortion I think, to make it sound a bit scarier. I ended up doing a menacing gurgling noise, and it was still identifiable after they messed with it.

I think you get the option to re-record as many times as you'd like, so maybe go in and try again?

the records you can scratch in wassily orchard omg

this game is such a treat. i'm trying to play it as slowly as possible. taking lots of snaps, really looking and playing with everything, to really treasure it.

Lots and lots of similarities between this and Puppeteer, the way I see it. Both feel like labours of love by their respective creators, have an undeniable visual flair and incredible presentation, an acute attention to detail, bucketloads of charm and British humour, top-notch soundtracks and an overabundance of collectibles.

Tearaway is edging it for me right now though. Puppeteer doesn't have cuddly gophers that you can lob around on a whim.

Wish I could play this :(

Why can't you?

Picked up my pre-order a couple of hours ago when I got off work. Was surprised by the Atoi keychain charm thing- it's cool though, I don't mind nice surprises like that. Feel bad for the people that didn't get it because they didn't know about it, and didn't pre-order.

Haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but I'm about to try to. Something else will pop up though... Actually, shoot- just remembered I need to give my dad a ride to the mechanic's so he can pick up his car...

I think I'd agree with this. Puppeteer felt like a breath of fresh air for the platformer genre, but being a platformer means it still walked a well-worn path. The execution was superb and it was brimming with creativity and invention, but not in the way Tearaway is.

Tearaway felt to me like something totally new. It walks like a platformer (or a Character Action Game I guess), but at every turn there's something new that makes it feel different, even if it's something as simple as tapping the back-touch to activate the bounce pads (which I never got tired of, by the way). It isn't every day you get to play something that feels as strange and daring as Tearaway does.

Tearaway and Gravity Rush define the Vita for me - its two flagship titles. Absolutely cannot wait for the sequel to GR.

I like you. We have the same (correct) opinion on stuff.

Where did you pre-order it at? NA or PAL?

EDIT: Balls. Looks like I missed it. I just called gamestop to check for me, and they said "yeah I'll check so you can call back later." Uhh, what?

Fuuu, have to wait till I get paid next week before I can buy this. I hope that $35.99 price holds up another week on the PSN store.

At least this gives me time (and extra motivation) to finish P4G.

I think the best thing I can say about this game is that every time I see the sun with my face in, I've got an absolutely ridiculous grin slapped across my face. Totally subconsciously, but I'm smiling the ENTIRE time I spend with this game.

It's a beautiful experience. Absolutely beautiful.

Holy SHIT, the level at around the halfway mark where you're
running away from the yeti guys right before the lab
absolutely sold me on the control scheme. This is what this game is about, platforming that's seamlessly mixed with the touch controls. Absolutely breathtaking.

Rolling everywhere is the only way I travel...

Also surely I'm not the only one here who sucks at drawing and is getting a few laughs out of their own creations? My
pumpkin
was just sad lol

Hit start and then new profile. Now you can have another save game.

That's one of my favourite parts tbh, some of the stuff I have drawn have legit made me laugh out loud. Who knew drawing a simple star shape was so hard?

This game is on a non-stop charm offensive. I find it kind of disarming how often I have to remind myself to keep a critical eye of the flaws and strengths and not allow myself to just be so darned mystified by the presentation and good humour and easy-going, nostalgia-in-motion experience. It's almost revelatory, running around this phantasmagoric landscape, a consistently marvelous never ending sunset on a infinitely memorable game experience. The thrill here is more in the exploration and discovery than in any of the minutiae regarding its individual components - combat may not leave any lasting impressions, some challenges are too shallow to be fun - and it adds up to an experience that is simply hard to play this game and not just feel all around great about your time with it. It just is the most pleasant and cynicism-free game experience I've played in an entire generation of games maybe, or at least since Super Mario Galaxy debuted.

this game is so unbelievably good looking. that they managed to both make the paper craft stuff feel cohesive and still have these gorgeous looking places is amazing to me. i could watch the ripples on water or the grass swaying or the shimmering confetti sky all day long.

it's also super fun. there's the playful stuff like riding a pig but also some good solid platforming.
