So, long story short, my Comcast internet service will be suspended this upcoming Wednesday. I already have a backup ISP account activated (much, much cheaper). My question is, should it be as easy as disconnecting the Comcast router and connecting the new one from the other company? I know it's a silly question, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into any issues. Thanks in advance for any help!

I would assume that the new ISP would have to come out and connect your house to their line unless they use the comcast network.

Assuming that they both use cable, it's a better idea to just have your own modem, then just call and have it activated.

The new company sent me their modem and I have it just sitting in the box. I guess I just wanted to make sure being suspended from one company meant not being able to get a connection with another. Using the same lines and such...
