I love my 7800x3d. What happened to Intel? Did all their good engineers leave? When I first got majorly into PC gaming, it was unthinkable to go amd over Intel.
Only CPU I could upgrade to, would be 5800X3D... but damn it is overpriced.
New condition "sold" listings on eBay are $450... which is the same prices as a 9800X3D. Guess buy the best CPU at the end of a mobo lifespan, and be set.

Since we can't have Apple's ARM chips something like the 7600X3D should be the base for the next generation consoles ... tons of performance for not very many watts.

It would be really interesting to have an APU with stacked cache, also extremely expensive. It'd also double as infinity cache for the gpu portion and be much larger due to the larger die size. It'll never happen due to the cost through
