And if you read the replies to that image, you can tell that the image has now changed and stuff. Someone said:

The pic was first a pic of a modified Wavebird, but now the picture has been changed into that thing. So the URL still works.

I don't think Teddman was lying...I think Nintendo probably sent that as the beta controller so developers could at least start working on games. And literally, if a developer wanted to continue working on their existing games using a "traditional" controller (like that came with early developement kits) then they can since Nintendo also has plans for a "classic" controller for Revolution.

Especially since he said that before Carmack went off about PS3/360 not being manna from heaven.

And since Non-NOA Nintendo executives are actually saying the letters of FPS.

But yeah, since Carmack probably hasn't mentioned Nintendo in anything other than a passing reference, "doom 3 won't run on gamecube" and since he himself is quite the graphics whore (he codes engines, of course he wants the best hardware), i don't think there's a chance in hell of id making a game for Rev, unless Nintendo bankrolled the whole goddamn thing.

Wait, was Teddman banned for this!?!

It's not like he proclaimed that this was the end result, he even gave the disclaimer that this could (and probably was) just a early developement kit test controller. I don't think it's fair if he was banned for this, afterall, I think he was right since Nintendo was keeping the "revolutionary features" secret when he reported this YET developers doing early work on Revolution games had to have a stand-in controller. What Teddman saw was probably it!
