Important.

I'm not gonna lie, when I saw who bumped this thread I had a pretty good idea what it was about. :lol

I was talking to a girl from my class about TV shows and she mentioned how Teen Wolf is her favorite show. She said the guys are cute, and therefore the show is great (according to her). I have never watched this show, but is there a compelling plot? Character development? Interesting pace? I don't just want to watch a show because it's full of cute guys/girls. I want to watch it because it's a good show (although that's entirely subjective).

Yes, yes, and yes. It's actually a fantastic show that happens to have cute guys and girls starring in it.

I'll say!

Yes to all of that, it's genuinely good.

It's good, last season was weird but it introduced Liam the bae so it's good I guess.

Do you like stuff like Buffy and Angel? It's basically something like that but for a new age. Less focus on monster of the week stuff.

Is he tho?
That goatee is not working for him at all, but that tanned bicep is, um... just another sign that he's a regular teenager who probably enjoys a fair amount of age appropriate outdoor activities because heaven knows you've got to look after your health when you're in show business.

“Teen Wolf” creator Jeff Davis gave fans their first look at Season 5 on Instagram. His post was only the title page of the script, but it revealed that “Creature of the Night” is the name of the “Teen Wolf” Season 5 premiere.

It is coming.

Teen Wolf writer Eric Wallace announces that season 5 is set to premiere June 2015.

During a recent interview with those over at the Gecken podcast, Wallace revealed that MTV’s supernatural werewolf show would be returning in June of this year.

An exact date has yet to be announced but this was the first confirmation of a summer release.

During the interview Wallace also mentions that the writers are working to make this the “scariest season EVER” of Teen Wolf.

You can listen to the full podcast bellow, where Wallace discusses writing for comic books and television, Godzilla, the proper way to treat collectables, as well as many more nerdy things.

The summer seasons have always premiered in June in the past.

I'm actually glad they got a whole year off in between this time, give them some space to recharge. They basically did three seasons back to back to back last time.

Is this show any good? Have not watched any of it before. I am a fan of shows like Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Grimm, etc. How does Teen Wolf compare to those?

First Season is rough but each one gets steadily better as the show goes on as long as you understand one simple fact Stiles is a better actor than the main cast.

It's very good. If you like the shows you listed, I think Teen Wolf would be right up your alley.

The first season starts off a little rough around the edges, but the shows has a very strong tendency to keep continuously improving.

I might give this a try. Currently working my way through The Vampire Diaries. Started season 5 (heard it's the weakest season of the show so far) and then might tackle The Originals to keep up to date on these two shows.

I like to have something to binge watch and Teen Wolf has always intrigued me but I just never got around to giving it a try. Think I might do so once I catch up on the shows mentioned above.

I think I'm a fan of The Vampire Diaries mainly for the mythology and wold building. Surprisingly the show does very well at that. At least better then a lot of other shows do. I find it interesting to discover the history of the Vampires and other supernatural elements and how everything works in the show's mythology/universe. I'm hoping that Teen Wolf has these elements as well. :)

It's got an interesting Mythology and a much wider variety of creatures than the Vampire Diaries has but still not on the level of Supernatural in terms of lore.

Alright thanks, this is good to hear. Supernatural had some fantastic mythology though the most recent seasons have been weak in that area (outside of the Men of Letters and Mark of Cain). Still enjoy that show though the MOTW episodes are better then the story arc episodes these days due to the decline in writing quality and terrible characters like Rowena.

The strength of this show imo comes from the character interactions that continuously improve each season on the surface its a very "MTV" show expect a lot of gracious bare chest and a few butt shots. But it also has these subtler character moments that I think make it stand out compared to shows like the Vampire Diaries. Also the parents actually play a significant role in the children lives and aren't relegated to background characters for seasons at a time.

Forgot to mention I was also a huge fan of Buffy/Angel. :)

Yeah I'll definitely give the show a chance. Sounds like something I could get into. How is the budget and effectives for this compared to The Vampire Diaries and the other aforementioned shows?
