Teen Wolf (Season 4) |OT| Can't go back... to wearing a shirt.

I can only wonder what in the world she was thinking. Was it pure naivety? Did she just assume that as a working actress she wouldn't have to worry about finding new roles?
She never seemed to be into any of the fan stuff or the lighter aspects of the show initially. I think she wanted to really be a "serious/professional" actor and felt that Teen Wolf wasn't offering her that.

I imagine though that once her decision was set in stone she realized what a good thing she had going for her and that she may have jumped the gun a bit.

This is Teen Wolf, though. Would it really be out of the realm of possibility for her to phone up the showrunners and be like "i'm back" and have them cook up some magic mumbo-jumbo to revive her?

well crystal leaving gave us some of the best moments in the show

i feel like allison's death really helped establish 3b as the best season of teen wolf (imo)
True enough. The sad thing is her character wasn't close to exhausted yet. Her story could have gone in all sorts of directions. Her past with Scott, her family history and living relatives... there was a lot to draw from moving forward.

I can see that. It's unfortunate she didn't bide her time. She could have taken a page from Dylan and Colton's book and put out feelers for more promising roles while working on Teen Wolf.

It's not impossible but it would be super lame after the huge drama surrounding her death.

I feel like throught 3B they made her as boring as they possibly could. She was irrelevant for most of 3B but it still takes a lot of guts to kill the main love interest of the main character and one of the most prominent character's on the show. Although it would have been cool to see where they would be taking her storyline especially with Kate in Season 4

:c

Allison was trash. Easily the worst of the major cast members. Just sayin...

Haven't missed her one bit.

I feel bad for her predicament, but I do not want her back.

I'm rewatching Season 1 and Allison has a likeable quality I'd kind of forgotten about. Now I really wish she were still on the show.

Also, let me take this opportunity to state that I was correct: Jackson is the flawless Platonic man. All other hunks are just shadows on the wall.

BRB, tattooing an ode to his cheekbones on the inside of my eyelids.

I found it funny that my wife and I had to force ourselves through Season 1 (everyone told us it sucked, but needed to watch it to get to season 2 onward). After season 1 we both agreed Jackson and Allison were the two biggest problems with the show.

Makes sense the very best of Teen Wolf takes place once they are completely gone.

But some of the show's best early moments center around Lydia and the conflict between the shallow persona she projects and the fierce intelligence and vulnerability behind it. Jackson is key to that in the first season. He's also the main driver of conflict between most of the main cast, initially. Scott and Allison, Scott and Derek, Allison and Lydia, Derek and Jackson: several of the many key relationships where Jackson is a major agitator to change. If he weren't such a proud competitive jerk, the whole first season would have lacked a great deal of momentum. Scott and Allison may not have become an item for some time (see: the bowling scene). Scott wouldn't have felt as much pressure to come to grips with his new nature and pursue Derek as a mentor. And so on.

Even if you're immune to Jackson's impeccable bone structure, you must understand that he plays an important constructive role in the first season. And that's before his increased prominence in the second, where he becomes a much bigger asset to the show's dramatic progression.

Someone should do a "Where are they now" with Crystal Reed

This is where her career is now.

I have no problem with the CHARACTER of Jackson, I have a problem with the horrible actor that plays him. Same goes for Alison (though I actually do have a problem with her character). When those two left the show felt that much better, thanks to the low rotting fruit falling off (until the 4th season when we were replenished with horrible actors and terrible plot lines).

No season can be worse than that 4th season, so I might still give it a shot to see if maybe that was just equivalent to New Girl Season 3 or Buffy Season 4, terrible seasons followed by good ones.

Is there any good explanation to what caused the show to loose so much quality and overall production quality in the 4th season? Was the budget cut? did they lose key talent on the production staff? Did the DP leave? Its such a shock going from season 3 to 4 and seeing things looking cheaper, badly framed, poorly lit, and overal just a lower production quality (And thats not even getting into the actual plot quality)

The key to appreciating Colton's acting is to have a crush on him.

I had a crush on Crystal but that didnt make me appreciate her acting anymore. The girl has looks.
You've confused me into thinking Colton might be a decent actor after all. When I see Jackson I don't feel like I'm watching a person trying to act. His POV seems authentic.

I wonder if I should tweet her and ask what's up. Not to be mean, but out of genuine concerniousity.
You should probably do it, if only for science.

they did season 4 pretty much right after 3A and 3B so I imagine they really needed a break lol

You don't? That's the problem I have; you can see the effort.
I believe him when he's working with the spectrum of emotions you get from an entitled oversensitive jock. Maybe it's his proximity to Tyler Posey, whose struggle is truly real, but yeah, for me he sells it.

Yeah, even then I just don't buy it. You are right that Posey is even worse, but it's a matter of degree, not kind.

Teen Wolf S5 |OT| The GAF-Pack Reunites.

Shouldn't it akin to every other Teen wolf OT? Like the season tagline and a reference to shirts or something. I don't know like:

Teen Wolf S5 |OT| Watch your 6-pack

I don't know how to fit a shirt in this this time though, but still, traditions and stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. :)

That's usually what I aim for, and I like your suggestion. I don't want to mistakenly evoke beer imagery, but any member of Teen Wolf GAF should get the jist.

Eh, maybe so. I'm going to finish rewatching the first couple seasons and see what I think.

Posey's improved. He definitely sells the adorably dumb puppy dog style charm in spades.

And his bro moments are great.
I absolutely agree.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. :)

Yeah, I was think of a play on wolf pack / six pack but that could be an issue.

If we're not above really lame puns we could make it Scared Shirtless or something. I can't figure out how to twist the season tag line into anything witty at the moment.

Another new teaser.

Don't watch it if you can't handle needles/blood.

Nice. So I take it the villain is a mad scientist of some kind? This show needs a mad scientist. Preferably a hunky mad scientist who has an aversion to shirts.

Also, OT ideas:

Teen Wolf S5 |OT| Who needs a shirt when you have a pack?
Teen Wolf S5 |OT| The doctor will see you.
Teen Wolf S5 |OT| It's in the blood.
Teen Wolf S5 |OT| Crystal Reed regrets this.
Teen Wolf S5 |OT| A better career choice than Arrow S4
Teen Wolf S5 |OT| Who needs Spiderman when you have Stiles?

One of these two needs to be the title.
