Tekken 5 PS2 Intro Movie - Part 2

That is some hot shit right there. I'm all over this... when's it out in America, BTW? Japan release is March 31.
 
Christ - what's with that sissy f@cking rock music? It reminds me of a weaksauce version of the Bomb Factory DOA2 intro. :X

It's also discouraging to see that after Tekken 4, the Tekken CG is back to rendering people made of plastic or other mystery polymers.

So can we get a Berenstain Bear costume for Kuma in this one?

Nice, although it does recycle scenes from the arcade intro (BTW, is that included in the PS2 port?). What's with the crappy song, though?

Still, nothing will top Tekken 2's console intro (not even Tekken Tag).

I don't remember Tekken 2's intro(got a link?). I still remember the Tekken 3 one though, Now that was good! *fires up Tekken 3 for Psx.*
 
Nice montage of the characters, but music seems ripped from 4-kidz underground B-sides or something.

Speaking of Tekken intro music, the opening FMV track for TTT is still adrenaline pumping hawtness.

Edit: Just dusted off T2, and the nostalgia just came crashing over me. Music is a bit tame by today's standards, but that intro is still pretty awesome! Hehe, love the drunk King in the alley.

Unfortunately I don't have a link to it, but it starts with Heihachi climbing his way back up the cliff Kazuya threw him off.

I hope T5 has endings for each character that are on par with the intro, and not like the crap that was in T4.
 
Tekken 3 has always been my favorite. 4 was a big disappointment, but I'm eager to give 5 a chance at redemption...

I sure as hell ain't waitin' till March 31 if the US one is out that soon, though. I guess I'll have to import.
 
I'll bet JPN gets a few extra outfits or whatnot in the interim. Makes you even wonder if the info from the recent scans even reflects the US release.

I love Namco, though I don't know if it's all done inhouse or outsourced these days.

The music reminds me of the awesome TRUSTfactory track that plays at the end of Breakdown.
 
Sounds like the US Pokemon Intro + System of a Down. Nice rip off of a scene from Hero, too. :)

Edit: http://www.tekken.it/ has videos of the intros (go to Theater Mode). i don't remember Tekken 4's intro, but Tekken 2 and 3 have the best intros IMO, for different reasons. Tekken 2's end theme ("Landscape of a Ghost" IIRC) is simply the best in the series though.
 
That was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Lousy generic rock, kitten rescuing (what is this, Shenmue?!?!) and character designs that were passable once but look ridiculous when made more realistic. Lame, lame, lame.
 
They should just do it like Tekken 2 and 3. I loved their intros. This one has crap music and doesnt show many of the characters fully. No Lei for example.

They have Asuka in the best possible situation for a panty shot (in the air, ON A BIKE), and they don't deliver the money shot!

Damn, I think that's the best intro Namco has done since Soul Blade (which had the best intro of any of their fighting games IMO). It reminded me very much of the SB intro with the "cheesy" music and the style of the montages. I love the kiss on Anna's rocket.

Tekken 4 flopped in Korean&Japanese arcade, so Namco listened to arcade players around the world and fixed all the bad thing in Tekken 4.

So they went back to T3/TTT juggle system and put Sidestepcancel/Backdashcancel back in T5(for better spacing option). Also Crush system(High Crush/Low Crush) is more universal in Tekken 5 etc. Can't wait
