Tekken 7 - Offscreen videos

Like most of the stuff in the game it's probably placeholder stuff.

...aaaand time to refresh every 5 minutes after being kicked out for being a nico nico peasant.

Well, I think I've pretty much seen the entirety of the system and understand everything that's going on. Not learning anything new anymore... only purpose to stick around is to enjoy the matches I guess... but this caliber of play really isn't worth losing sleep over.

In conclusion, interesting but nothing here that looks funner than TTT2 so far other than say the new air-bound attributes for solo juggles. But the completely identical art direction along with the same winposes/voice-over and stuff is even further solidifying my feeling as if this loki test version of T7 is nothing worth losing TTT2 over.

I sure hope they have a lot of new things to show in the next location test.

I think Claudio is the new character.

Wasn't he usable yesterday? There are two [?] boxes at either end of the bottom row of characters, (random select is in the center), Claudio wasn't one of them, and the character count, including those two boxes, is 20. I feel like those are supposed to be time-release characters.

Harada said on stream that another new character would be shown at the Lok test...that points to Claudio...could be wrong though.

Turns out you (and Harada lol) are absolutely 100% right. Guess it must have been years since I last looked at any of the Tag models, and I simply forgot how extremely detailed these models were for their time.

Don't even need to look at the total polycount, it's so obvious Tekken Tag models had a much more detailed mesh than Tekken 4. Here's a simple comparison I put up:

Yeah, TTT models were great looking and high poly. I think the models in TTT even had a higher polygon count than Tekken 5? I think I read that somewhere.

TTT2 system is simply too good. I already have my expectations in check. There's not much they can do in a 1v1 game to 1up what TTT2 did.

However, I am definitely pumped for 1v1 action and this game seems to be delivering. I am getting tired of team/tag games and need a break from them.

Plus, Tekken 7 is gonna help bring in a slew of new players with the direction it's going in. TTT2 didn't do a good job with that with because it's complex.

I also think the new flop mechanic is a beautiful way to take out bound and satisfy all sides (both competitive and casual players).

I think y'all are overrating the TTT2 engine but hey you likes what you likes.

But yeah I see what Heel is saying about "bound" but its barely that....

not really.

I see this as totally an equivalent to bound.People are already using them to extend combos on the livestream.

I'm just not seeing it. I see more T5 type combos going on. There are those types of attacks that looks boundish but it's not all over the place to what we're using to seeing from T6/TTT2.

I disagree. For one, you can't even use the flop mechanic against walls. That already makes them way weaker than bounds.

Katarina rage art....0_0

Edit: I missed the Lili rage art. Hope it gets shown again..

Damn....I missed the Claudio one too. Just looked away for like 5 seconds. :/

i don't have a problem believing that at all. I love how they went all out with the character meshes after they were told the PS2 specs, and then they never surpassed that level of detail again for a whole generation, not until Tekken 6 in 2007.

Stupid niconico live stream doesn't work on iPhone. I'd have to download the app which, ofcourse, cannot be downloaded if I don't have a Japanese account. I would have to jus... Yeah, ... no, fuck you niconico.
You guys are doing a good job with the updates. Keep them coming.

Still waiting for the additional character we were promised. (Please let it be Nina)

I think TTT2 is the MVC2 of last generation. It nailed everything, except having a sub-hd resoultion.

I dont think T7, or any fighter for that matter, will match it for a very long time, if ever.

Its such a shame it didnt at least get a PC release.

TTT2 has a dynamic resolution. It is natively 720p for the majority of the time.

Somebody in the chat earlier had said all Ogre players have AT&T dial up internet. I don't think I disagree. :lol

It still goes sub-hd at times and was a step back from T5DR.

It also had the odd framerate drop.

It deserves a full 1080p definitive edition. Not having a port ready at the PS4XBO launch was leaving money on the table regardless of how complex the game is.

God this game is going to be PACKED with wub. Every stage, every menu, everything in between. Nothin' but wub.
