TEKKEN 7 |OT| How I killed your mother

How about we get some money matches going with PAUL VS GAF

I doubt people with easy to bruise egos want to money match
It was a revenge match oppurtunity, didn't entertain it, and he cried about it. That is why he is a noob, because he can't accept that he lost. The reality is whether or not I win or lose a run back, these kinds of players will still maintain the same attitude, they have zero respect for you.

The occasion before this, I knocked this guy out of a single elim tournament. This guy's connection was from a different country. He proceeds to shit talk in the tournament chat, leaves the game, sends me match invites while i'm in a tournament lmao. Then we go back and forth and he says a bunch of mean things about me :(

I dunno why you are trying to paint me as the bad guy here, these guys are obviously assholes, I have the psn messages to prove it lol
Because they dont understand people dont owe anyone their time

Once upon a time there was a game called Tekken 6 where every character had unique customizations, they were by-and-large of the same quality as the default costumes, and--aside from color--they could be adjusted more intricately than those of any Tekken that came before or after.

Namco forgets, but the world remembers.
Its why I can't accept this at all. Online is busted so this is pretty much all I have right now.

Its another SFV situation right now. Core gameplay is great, everything else is a barebones mess.

Not trying to paint you as a bad guy, but you used the term "noob" as a generalization without explaining yourself. There's plenty of new players in T7 and we should be welcoming and helpful as a community to them. People who send insults after matches, of course that's a different matter.

Bad Mood: The Game

I don't normally get pissed off when I lose at PVP games, but the number of times I've had my opponent down to a sliver of health, only to be KOd by their Rage Arts....

And when I try to do it, it looks like I'm crouching and teabagging, and then I get punched in the face.

Reread the post he did

edit:
It's not everyone's responsibility to teach or coddle new players dude could have been in the mood to find some good matches and improve beating someone far below his level isnt his goal

Can you guys recommend me some dope ass music tracks from past games? Their is so much to sift through and I wanna hear your favs.

Some favorites

T2 - Yoshimitsu (arranged/console version. Might be called The Head Shaker)
TTT - Ogre, Lei, King
T5 - Those Who Go To Heaven/Dragon's Nest, Formless Like Water, Antares
T5 DR - Snow Castle, Tiamat, you know what, between Tekken 5 and DR, there are too many to list. Check 'em out.
T6 - Electric Fountain, NANCY theme/Mishima Zaibatsu, Central Tower, Anger of the Earth, Manji Valley (though not quite the same without the awesome stage itself)

er this is nowhere near SF5, that's pretty hyperbolic.

It has a very decent story mode, tournaments, versus, arcade, treasure battle, customization, you name it.

Even TTT2 which is the Tekken with by far the most content in it simplified the customization because it was hard for the team to manage those elements for so many characters.

Compared to T5 which was the absolute barest amount of customization, T6 went above and beyond, but its obvious why they scaled it back and have had no intention of expanding on it again.

If you want expansive customization in that field, you might have to wait until SC6 or something

Ehh rage arts have armour, you should totally expect people to use them desperately, It's kinda like watching out for a wakeup super in SF.

And you can bind rage art to a single button, no need to do the actual command.

I should probably gaggle myself, but does anyone have an easy tutorial/flowchart of how side stepping works?

It doesn't seem to work like how I think it does ;_;

I only have the online trophies left...that ain't happening anytime soon. Shit is stupid.

Well it gives me more time to get comfortable in training mode I guess.

Was anybody else kind of wishing that Heihachi was the one with the devil gene all along and it triggered during his final fight with Kazuya? When Kazumi told him that he had to die because he'd bring destruction to the world (which he totes did) I assumed that she'd represent the Angel side of Kazuya's bloodline.

I feel like there's a huge amount of good players on PC. I don't know where they came from, but I get the hell kicked out of me.

They know exactly what's punishable on whiff or block and they never drop combos. Their footwork and spacing are also awesome. I thought things wouldn't be this rough on the platform. At least online matches are like heaven.

Hey, any character tutorials out there? For specifically Dragonuv/Claudio/Byran/Lili/Katrina Looking for answers to questions like: what moves and strings to use in neutral, strings leave me plus or minus, what string has mixup options? Basically more indepth character analysis.

Interested in Dragonuv atm and I know basic launcher combos. I just have no idea what other buttons to push in neutral or strings to use to open people up so I can hit that d/f+2.

Ok. On PS4, how the fuck do I block their RA, then?

And how do I bind my RA to a single button? Did I miss this stuff somehow?

Thanks.

ughh the hori fight commander is horrible for this game. At least in practice mode. Resetting position and changing the commands requires you to press the touchpad plus a button, but this controller doesnt have a touchpad button. WHY THE FUCKING TOUCHPAD HARADA?! ughhh
Try using select plus the button. My stick doesn't have a touch pad and I can reset positions and record.

Not mine but:

...Just block it? As long as you aren't mid attack you can block any rage art, some hit low though like lucky chloe's.

And well, check your controls.

Yeah seems most PC players are good, can't beat anyone online.

Nah, you just don't want to admit because SFV is the established punching bag.

Arcade mode at 4-5 matches might as well not even be there.

Customization took a huge hit and there's no real excuse for that.

Story mode and its AI is a joke.

Character episodes are largely pointless and would've probably been better suited for a more fleshed out arcade mode or something.

No ghost mode, no minigames.

Online is damn near broken right now.

It shouldn't have been released in the state it's in...just like SFV in February 2016.

When Kazumi told him that he had to die because he'd bring destruction to the world (which he totes did) I assumed that she'd represent the Angel side of Kazuya's bloodline.

It's kind of silly that that was her motive considering that marrying him and producing Kazuya is what set everything in motion. Not sure why she was acting high and mighty when it was her family that had the cursed bloodline. But yeah, I agree that it would've been better if she was acting as the Angel force. I don't know why they've doubled down on the devil stuff so much, but completely dropped Angel as an opposing force.

Any good guides for Tekken newcomers? I'm downloading it now on Steam.

Im really beginning to realize how much my movement, spacing, and defense have to improve if I wanna get anywhere with Kazuya.

My one month head start is getting closed in on really quick lol.

Man, the more I think about, it, T5 and DR were amazing. They banged out T5's home release three years after 4, and while it wasn't great balance-wise, it was content complete with all the expected modes, a bonus side-mode, the arcade versions of Tekken 1-3, and had 9 characters over the previous game (including almost every classic character that had been dropped after Tekken 2). Then a year later, they banged out an update that added three more characters and more than doubled the stage count (36 stages total, 7 more than even Tag 2 had), while rebalancing the game.

The music between both games being dope is just icing on the cake.

Man I'd love to see them put out a virtuoso release like that again.

Can confirm. Not in Jukebox mode for some reason. Might ask Harada on Twitter in small hope of finding an answer.

It wasn't on TTT2 either. And I think, might be wrong, Ground Zero stage was NOT in Dark Resurrection Online. I've always been weirded out by this, isn't this their song?

Like I'm 95% sure I heard a commentator on a tournament say that a raw rage art, has its damage scaled to what health you have.

I didn't realize how common wakeup rage arts were gonna be in this until I started playing people online.

Speaking of which, can they please fix the broken-online-other-than-tournament-mode bullshit

This game controls pretty well on pad, but I'm curious about trying stick. I only have a Hori PS3 stick, though - does this have a legacy stick mode, or am I SOL?
