Tekken 7 PC System Requirements

60 gigs is a lil sucky. my net is fast, but caps suk ass. i would appreciate the option to omit the old cgis, if i wanted to watch those i could just go to youtube. but anyways 35 bones from cd keys, lets go bois

Do all you guys complaining about the game size have 500 gb drives? 60GB is par for the course with AAA Games. Storage is cheap.

To me at least the storage isn't so much the problem as having to actually download the game.

Even if the game download was 40GB compressed, that would still be half my monthly bandwidth cap in one go.

It's actually been compressed heavily from the arcade set up, which reportedly stored the game on three 512gb SSDs.

That's completely insane. Are you sure that they're not running on raid or save replays (or do mostly other unrelavant stuff like backups)?

I couldn't find anything about that.

It's maybe a bit of a hassle but if you really want to save data you could now send a friend a big enough storage device and share your libary with that friends steam account.
He then could download the preload (I've heard the game will have one soon) and put it into the storage device and send it back to you which should arrive before the game is unlocked.

You then only have to download a few mb's when the game is unlocked.

970 is slightly better then the 1060 at stock, or at least a 1060 is a side grade with more VRAM. I can see a 6gb 1060 perform better with ultra textures but apart from that the 970 should very likely perform at 1080p with ease.

A 1060 is on par with the 980, not the 970.

Why are some developers not mentioning AMD GPUs/CPUs in their SR? I don't get it.
I am pretty sure that 1060 is a little bit too much power for this game @1080p/60fps.

Sponsored by Nvidia. But yeah, I do agree us AMD owners should be given rough equivalents.

and people were wondering of no Switch release holy kek

Switch cards can easily hold that capacity. As to digital download, a microSD card is all that's needed.

As to why so huge, big culprit is FMV.

now when they say maxed out, does that include anti-aliasing being on?

Yes. Here's a snip from NVIDIA:
If your system doesn't sport the world's fastest gaming GPU, don't despair: Anti-Aliasing, Effects, Shadows, Post-Process Effects, and Motion Blur can all be dialed back to give your system enough frames for an excellent experience.

This is pertaining to getting 4K@60fps.

The big thing here is motion blur. I don't think there has been a single video showing this off. Seems like it's absent on all the console videos and it's also absent on the old 4K GTX 1080 video. I really hope it's done well. Anything is better than SFV's motion blur.

60 GB might also be because of customization textures.

Tekken 6,TTT2 all sported a massive amount of customization features for each character. T7 probably will too.

60GB is because of 4K Textures, All the old FMVs, and the new FMVs. This bodes well for high quality FMVs (the new ones at least.)

Harada is a PC gamer and he isn't going to let this hit the platform without having the goodies.

Who cares about that when you can play music from your own PC? I've been doing it forever regardless of the game.

There's no music player in the world that's going to magically give you the ability the sync up music on a per-stage/final round basis.

Which is what the jukebox does.

On this note - NVidia just published new GeForce drivers that appear to have the Tekken 7 optimizations in them.

Edit - I guess it was actually published yesterday and I just didn't notice.

I hope it really is the FMVs that take up much of the space and that they can be safely deleted, or failing that, are so few in number that I can easily replace them with dummy files.

EDIT: Oh wait, every single ending from past Tekkens are in there? Fuck, I hope we can just delete them then :p This will be worse than REmake/RE0 HD levels of FMV replacement.

I wish they would have actually have given us a maxed out video instead of the old GTX 1080 4K video.

I was really hoping to see their implementation of motion blur. They did a really good job with it in Tekken 6 and TTT2.

1060 6b = 980 with more ram and better power consumption 1060 3gb is gimped compared to it. ether card should be fine handling tekken 7 at 1080p/60fps if those sys requirements are anything to go by.

My laptop can actually run it based on the minimum. Nice.

Which is surprisingly alot too.

But it was about time I get another SDD for my PC, my 500Gb aint going to cut it now that I want to record videos too.

It's a modern game so it makes sense. Actually that's smaller than expected if you ask me. The age where games were restricted by the size of a DVD are long over.
