Damn, lower brightness might do it, especially if the 2017 LG OLEDS have all improved in this area. Not bad for their first attempt, but unless price massively drops I don't know. Still have to wait for the Rtings review.
What is is with these new sets like the Samsung Q7F giving us over 99% color accuracy and then this A1E giving us over 100% accuracy but then underdelivering on thr brightness.
So tempting to grab that E65P It's so hard to say goodbye to my Kuro.
No offense but your Kuro was surpassed quite a while ago, even by other flagship Panasonic plasmas.

So if you wanted Kuro level blacks, you could have bought something in 2013 that would have given you as black a picture as well as all the newer enhancements. It stays around in name only because people think they have some unbeatable set. Viewing angles maybe but some high end flaghships that were IPS had almost as good viewing angles, other sets like Panasonics last high end plasmas did beat Kuro. Then you are ignoring the myriad of inprovements made to things like color accuracy, etc.
I think you would be happiest upgrading to a flagship OLED. One of the 2017 LG's, hearing about thr brightness of the A1E, makes me not want to recommend that.
I won a competition and get a 65" Sony X930d I know it has very bad input lag (50ms) but a part from that does anyone have any advice?
Honestly I think input lag is overdiscussed in relation to the television. Anything under 60 ms is adequate and will not be noticeable unless you are a massive gamer especially in multiplayer or twitch shooters. For example, I want to know how many people who got the LG input lag update REALLY, HONESTLY, TRULY can say damn I can easily tell I am playing at 28ms now and not the what 50+ it was before.
One day, I played Halo 5 and I forgot I had changed my input from the game mode setting to standard or custom because I had watched a UHD HDR bluray. I honestly didn't even notice a different. I played the same, etc. The lowest input lag is best, anything in the teens is no longer really possible due to the imaging enhancements. So input lags in the 20s and 30s ms is the best. If you have something higher, you may notice it in fast twitch games, a street fighter, shooter. But nothing that woild be frustrating or game breaking. We have been gaming on 20ms to 70ms sets for a decade before people started tracking input lag. And then keep in mind some people you play against are on monitors. If you won a 65" X930D, then you won a freaking expensive television that will give you an amazing 4K and HDR picture.
