I just got back from Palm Springs. Stayed at Del Marco hotel resort and loved it. Was great to get away during this pandemic. Pretty much sat by the pool with some edibles and had a blast! Ever been high in a hot tub?

Destination wedding in Dominican Republic a few years ago. The wedding itself was nice but the resort we stayed at was lame, with nothing but American food available for breakfast and lunch. I didn't go on vacation to another country just eat fucking hot dogs and hamburgers lol

Florida, Kissimmee, late November-mid December 2019.

Hired a two bedroom townhouse with a hot tub and a Mustang for two weeks.

Spent most of the vacation drunk as fuck, exploring the theme park, shopping, eating and fucking.

Loved it.

Florida is my spiritual home.

Wanted to return in 2020 but this Covid shit fucked me.

Will be heading back in 2021.

2 years ago I went to Hawaii for my ten year anniversary. It was amazing. Wife and I had a blast. We could see clear water from our balcony and each weekend we had the best view of fireworks.

In June of 2019 I went to Portugal. We stayed in Lisbon but ventured out into some other cities like Sintra and Evora. It was a wonderful time. I had a stopover trip to London but it was only for a day and not nearly enough time to explore what I wanted.

Went to Spain with my wife (girlfriend at the time). Volunteered as a conversation partner for an English immersion class which covered our hotel costs for a week in Gredos. Then after we were done, checked out Madrid and Barcelona.
Love Barcelona! One of my favorite places to visit

Did you drink any port wines there?

My last vacation was Colorado back in the summer of 2019. We went to Denver, drove to Estes park, took a train from Durango to Silverton, and also visited Breckenridge, the sand dunes, Telluride, Buena Vista, etc.

I'm currently visiting family in California (it's been a couple of weeks so far, we're leaving on Monday). So far mostly chilling in Irvine and Laguna Beach area. We drove around a lot and went to Lake Arrowhead (lots of snow, high up in the mountains). So there was a bit of adventure as well.

Key moments were taking my nephews "trick or treating" on Halloween night (mostly just grabbing candy from bowls left outside peoples porches, wearing face masks, using hand sanitizer, etc) and also being worried to death about the Election results and staying inside in case of rioting lol.

It wasn't much of a vacation due to COVID still being a thing and not being able to go to places properly like museums or other indoor areas or whatever. I mostly enjoy relaxing when on vacation, and that involves eating good food (take out, not dine in). We went to a bunch I'm forgetting, but most notably: Dave's Hot Chicken in LA, John's Philly Grille in Huntington, and a really good Taco truck but I forgot the name lol like carne asada and cabeza stuff.

1)
2) Drove to Dallas for a concert and stayed there for 4 days. Went to a science museum that was neat. Did the bar run and got way too drunk. Ate at the best mexican restaurant I've ever been to 3x.

3) Went to San Diego for a concert and stayed for a few days. Absolutely gorgeous. Walked around the beach every day, went to the zoo which was amazing. Checked out multiple bars and restaurants. Saw some cool old boats you can get on, and a famous US battleship.

4) Went to Breckinridge, Colorado for 3 days when my brother got married. Absolutely gorgeous place. Didn't ski, but just enjoyed walking around some mountain trails and chilling in a cabin. They have a touristy shopping area with restaurants. Tried legal pot for the first time.

5) Went to Oklahoma and Arkansas this summer and rented a cabin for 5 days. It's basically one giant forest. Hiked on several difficult trails. Kayaked for the first time on a beginner course, and liked it so much we went back the next day as well. Hot Springs Arkansas is a little more touristy so we checked it out. Has an old downtown and some museums when they used to have large hot springs / resorts that were seen as medical centers a long time ago because they believed the water had healing properties. Not great restaurants where we were, but we only tried a few.

I have tickets for a show next year in LA to see System of a Down. Never been, so that'll be fun to check out hopefully. Might go to NY to see Deftones, never been there. Planning to go to Peru to hike to Macchu Picchu in May since the whole trip got cancelled and rescheduled a year out due to COVID.

2019 Got tickets to a Browns vs 49ers game in California, Days In I don't care what anyone says is a winning hotel organization, everyone was friendly. Airport was a little confusing, but after that Uber/Lyft was perfect

3 families travelled together for 3ish weeks to Bali, each has two kids around the same ages. Stayed in a private group villa for the first half in Seminyak and then in a hotel/resort down in Nusa Dua for the second half. It was an absolute blast and we've all been life long friends, our kids are too. One of my favourite trips ever from the beach locales and super friendly people to the lush rainforests and amazingly diverse wildlife. Shopping is fun to get in and barter around, don't pay over 30% of anything asked, nor expect high quality goods but for niknaks to take home and art/craftsmanship to surround yourself in it's a wonderful adventure for any age really. If you have the stomach for it the street food can be downright exceptional, although in the same breath it can be literally holiday ruining to make you sick.

We don't perpetuate any of the ugly animal trade when we travel e.g. ride a Balinese elephant on the side of the road but we spent half a day bathing rescued elephants and generally one day travelling to what/where we could and one day relaxing, alternating through the whole trip. There is so much on offer in Bali with feeding wild monkeys, water parks, resorts, beaches, shopping/bartering, eating and exotic country side to explore. We visited statues, places of worship, jet skis/parasailing, class on wood carving, massages, a DJ/pool club hanging off the side of cliff with incredible views and atmosphere. It's just a matter of getting out and about, you could easily fill a number of repeat trips to Bali and do quite different experiences. Further up the country you can really delve into the serene environment, treks, nature etc. Further down you can go more commercial e.g. lots of people, stalls/shops, street atmosphere or over to Nusa Dua with a closed off series of resorts environment that extremely well developed and manicured.

We found a brilliant local artist and we brought back his amazing painting with texturing designed into the elephant/canvas itself. I haven't seen anything like it really and elephants are my wife's favourite animal so it has a welcome place in our home right at the door entrance. We were really happy to support local business and art talent too. Generally the old school skills and display are sadly undercharged for what they produce in terms of material and craftsmanship talent. Stone and wood carvings are breathtaking and exported all over the world.

Covid has really done a number on Bali as it's hugely reliant on tourism for their economy e.g. Europeans for one season, Aussies for another season etc. They lost something like 85% of their turnover due to the international lockdowns.

Also we ran into a wild Jay and Silent bob near our villa, just had to take a photo.

I think it was going for a 4 day weekend at the Grand Ole Opry hotel for their Christmas celebration last year. The hotel is basically its own little resort so we didn't really have to leave at all. My girls seemed to get a big kick out of watching me bust my ass trying to ice skate.

A year ago to Marseille, didn't really enjoy it....
Doesn't hold a candle to Paris or Nice.
Even Toulouse, somehow, manages to be better.
This year was supposed to be Lyon, but the shitty virus messed up my plans.

10 years ago, with my entire family. We have a joint family (9 then) and we went to Goa. It was the most fun I've ever had but no one has time these days, everyone is busy at their jobs and school keeps me busy too. I'll cherish those days forever as they'll probably never come back. Goa is a great place and water sports were mad fun too.

I was staying in Thailand for 2 Weeks, visiting my wife. Its always great to come back to traditional Thailand without all those typical tourism spots. Due to my wife being and adventurous spirit we visited "Three Whale Rock". A ranger was driving us through the wilds while i wa sitting outside in the back of a Pickup avoiding Trees and stuff. :) Great expeience. The "Three Whale Rock" is one hell of a place without any securities.

Just standing on top of the three wale rock, watching the country is amazing while you know that one wrong step could kill you :)

last vacation trip was to tokyo last year. Pretty much just relaxed and just walked around shibuya. akihabara, and the local area around my hotel. Did go to that robot cafe again but they changed the performance so it wasn't as good this time around. I was originally going to go to vietnam and tokyo again this year but covid. Hopefully I can visit vietnam and thailand next year. I'm probably going to quit my job soon and just travel around mexico , brazil, and colombia until Asia opens up and then travel there for all of next year.

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

Last actual vacation was June 2019, took a family road trip from northern Illinois out west. Stopped at Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Sequoia, Disneyland, and some beaches in southern California. We stayed two nights in a little cabin in Grand Teton just outside the south entrance to Yellowstone. The cabins were great, they were maybe 10'x10' and had queen size bunk beds. Definitely one of the highlights and somewhere I'd love to stay again. Jackson Hole was a lot of fun, we got passes to ride the tram to the top. The views were magnificent! Camped for one night in Tahoe, left immediately for Yosemite the next day. Didn't enjoy Yosemite as much as I though I would, it was packed, lots of traffic and people. Sequoia was a gem, so much more enjoyable than Yosemite. The trees were unbelievable and there were barely any people!

At Disneyland we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for 2 nights and spent two days in the parks. We were there during the early preview for Galaxy's Edge so that was fun to experience. The crowds were surprisingly light, the longest line we waited in was for Peter Pan and that was only about 20 minutes. It was perfect for my kids and wifes first experience at Disneyland (I grew up going). I loved staying on property, the room was quite nice, and walking through downtown disney to the front entrance was a good experience for the kids. We ate at Goofy's Kitchen, it's quite pricy but if your kids want character autographs they will get a bunch during dinner. The food was pretty good for a buffet. We also had lunch at Blue Bayou, the food was good and the atmosphere was excellent. My kids still talk about it today. I'd say if you're taking your family for the first time to Disneyland, go all out and let them experience everything. It's something they'll likely never forget.

Orlando, February 2020.

My brother-in-laws mom had died. And her favourite thing in the world was going to Disney once a year. So when she passed, she left half the money to my brother-in-law/sister, and the other half to a married couple that were basically like family. Only condition is that we all had to go to Disney as a family within 2 years. All expenses paid. So the 4 of them, my nephew, my mother, and I met up in Orlando. It was primarily for the Disney experience. The trip was so so. Pretty much the only person who didn't piss me off at some point was my brother-in-law, and some days I did strike out on my own away from the rest of them. I enjoyed my hotel (Disney Caribbean Beach Resort) and loved the chance to go to Star Wars Galaxy Edge. The Rise of the Resistance ride was incredible. Silly but it beat out seeing the Dead Sea Scrolls in person for my best experience so far. The rides from Avatar in Pandora/Animal Kingdom were worth the wait too. I didn't get to see a lot that I wanted to, but it was mostly good.

I did inhale a really strong margarita at the cantina like 30 seconds walk from my room though. I have low alcohol tolerance since I don't drink often and inhaled it on an empty stomach. Between that and it being made strong, I got tipsy. That was fun. Margaritas are awesome. I did get sick at Epcot eating at some German place and puked in the WC there. I felt like I unlocked a "Puked at Disney" achievement or something. Riding the Skyline or whatever was a daily highlight for me. I wanna go back but between money and Covid, I don't expect it to happen for a long time. If ever again. No pictures sadly. About a week after I got back, due to circumstances, I lost EVERYTHING on my phone. I may have some salvaged in a chat with family or something but I don't think anyone actually cares so I don't see a point in digging them out and posting them haha. I did get some really cute leggings with Disney cats on them though.

But I do highly recommend hitting up Galaxys Edge if you haven't. And Pandora. Just make sure to wear a mask and attempt to social distance as much as possible.

Went sailing around Greece last month. Went to Mykonos, Ios, Santorini, Naxos and some smaller islands.

Was great chilling by the beach, going to a ton of bars, chilling on the yacht, and partying at clubs.

Only downside was that I came back with COVID, which I assume I got at a very packed club.

That's amazing that she put that condition in, might have to do that to my kids. I'm a huge Disney fan, we had planned on going to Disneyworld this year but Covid ruined those plans, so hopefully we can go next year. Rise of the Resistance wasn't open yet when we were at Disneyland in 2019, it sounds amazing so I've got to get back soon. You're lucky you got to go right before Covid hit, how were the crowds in February?

Outside of clashing with my mom everyday, the crowds were the worst part tbh. So many rude people. I recommend taking a Super Soaker filled with a combo of hot sauce and urine to keep them at bay.
