Those last few games were incredible. Murray had some insane heart to fight off that match point when Nadal served for the match.

That was an emotionally draining match! Jesus she choked away the second set, but most players would break down after losing that and sulk away the third set. Not so with this fighter. The ch'ship is yours for the taking now.

This Lisicki has had a breakthrough month. She's so aggressive and sharp, finding the most insane angles for her winners. I'm so happy that new, exciting female players have started popping into the big game for real. Makes me optimistic for the future of WTA after a lackluster year or two.

Definitely, hell of a point but boring match. Clay is just so different in terms of the points, longer rallies and a heck of a lot more defense can make for boring stuff at times. Nadal's cardio is off the charts.

Wimbledon could see play continue until as late as 2200 BST and beyond this year with the introduction of a roof over Centre Court.

The All England Club will schedule games in the same manner as 2008, but with no cut-off time for matches.

Club chief executive Ian Ritchie said the local authorities had been flexible and not objected to late finishes.

Asked if there would ever be a night session at Wimbledon, club chairman Tim Phillips said, "not yet".

He added that Wimbledon "remains a day event" and said there was no plan to change that.

This Porsche championship in Stuttgart serves as a great argument for the renewed quality in women's tennis. The last two years the WTA was open because the top players were unstable. Now it's open because so many in and outside of the top 10 are playing consistently good tennis. The newcomers have settled, some oldies are playing better than in a long time. Variety, consistency, youth. Great stuff.

Yeah, just about. Fed doesn't deserve to win shit the way he's playing.

It's too early for this, Nadal needs to hurry up and take this first set so I can go to sleep.

If he loses the US Open he will definitely retire. But I can't see him going without at least attempting to get 14.

Nadal is a beast made for grinding on clay. Federer has a legit shot at winning both Wimbledon and the US Open this year, he just needs the generosity of faster paced courts to get the job done. The guys that give Fed the most problems are retrievers and faster court speeds like you see at the US Open and even the slower grass at Wimbledon give him a better shot at taking those titles. His chances at the French are slim, he would basically have to hope that Nadal, and Djokovic get beat by other players before they reach him. Murray is the most likely of the top 4 to fall at the French early.

A lot depends on whether Federer swallows his pride and gets a coach. He had the match against Djoko in the bag, easily dominating the court. Then he threw everything away. Get a coach, your head case issues need sorted out.

Also I want Sharapova back for the French Open and it looks more unlikely every day. Out of the big cups before it. Maybe grass season is the one to hope for. If it takes more time than that, I think she's out for good.

I know it has been a long time, but I wanted my next doodle to be the one my fans were waiting for. I am very happy to report that I will make my singles return to the tour in Warsaw Poland, the week of May 18. Although it has not been an easy process these last few months, I really believe it's made me a much stronger person in so many areas of my life professionally and personally. There are so many things you learn while you are limited to something you love doing. One of those things is patience, not my best virtue, but certainly one of my better ones now. Self belief...it's important to have a great team and family helping and encouraging you, but unless you are the one believing, it will not happen. My family and coach have been a tremendous part of this comeback, and I think it's important to acknowledge that without their drive, daily laughs, and endless belief in my ability, I would be sipping a pina colada on a deserted island (not that there's something wrong with that, but playing tennis is just so much more exciting at this stage of my life) .

as long as we're still getting nadal vs. verdasco type matches, i'm cool.

but women's tennis, on the other hand, is just... done. i can't remember any recent matches i've seen that were fun to watch. wouldn't it benefit the viewer if they'd just make them wear skimpier clothes or something.

You know what I mean, Fed is on the massive decline right now where he used to be untouchable. Not just losing to Nadal but more and more players scattered throughout the top 10.
