lol I can at least think of two worse #1's just in the past decade. At least Kerber has slams under her belt, unlike Woz and Safina
Don't forget Jelena Jankovic

nishikori withdraws. djokovic's game may have abandoned him but his luck is certainly still there.
Rafa is getting over confident clowning on all these fools.
just you wait until the real number 1 comes back and put him in his place again.
Bouchard bailed out of Rome...I thought those where mandatory...she would of had to qualify so the bad tongues say thats why she bailed lol...
Meanwhile,to more important things Nadal,Joker semi....Nadal's got this.
i don't know the rules, so are the tournaments mandatory even if you have to go through qualifying?
and nadal doesn't seem to have much a problem with djokovic, at least in the first set. djokovic has been starting to play a bit better as the set has gone on.
Nadal doesnt give a damn...second serve ace....and in the final
So happy Nadal could get a decisive win against Djokovic today! He's played superbly throughout this clay-court season so far, but losing to Djokovic (especially the current form of Djokovic we're seeing this year) would've been a huge blow to his confidence, I think.
On a related note, I'm sad I won't be able to watch the women's final today. I'm not the biggest Halep fan (her game bores me), but I think a match between her and Mladenovic on clay should be intriguing.
So Cahill dumps Halep after Miami and then Halep goes on to win Madrid about a month later
Whatchu talkin about? He was there with her in Madrid.
Yeah they JUST got back together. Cahill dumped her after Miami though
I haven't read anything about that. Not in the romanian press anyway. She said that they had a talk after Miami that helped her het her head straight, that was all.
WTA Insider: Going back to that match in Miami, you lost that tough match to Konta where you felt like you should have closed it out. It was a similar situation here, losing a second set tiebreak and heading into a third set. How different is the Simona sitting across from me today from the one in Miami?
Halep: Now I can finally speak about this; I told you a few weeks ago that I would tell you later. Today, I thanked Darren in my speech for coming back. After Miami, he stopped working with me because he was upset about that match. It wasn't because I lost, but because of my attitude and him feeling like I gave up. That's why I started to work hard on my mentality, and my psychology.
Today, I showed it's a new Simo, that I don't give up anymore, even if I lose a close second set. It makes me proud that I was able to change this in such a short time. Now, I just want to work to keep it and make it stronger. I don't want to lose this, because my personality can be a bit crazy on court. Now I just have to stay calm because now I can see that when I'm calm, I can see the game and what my opponent is doing. That way, I can play better tennis.
Is Rome not on clay anymore?swept that clay season.
remember blue clay?
lol...and why will it be better next year...if he wins Wimbledon or the USO,I believe he will call it quits this year.
if he wins #19 he'll probably want to go for #20
Rules for the Next Gen Season Final. Special "TV-made" rules.
But LOL at the wrong line sample for Zverev.
