E33 has higher users score on MC and It has amolst 2x the ammount of reviews of Hades 2 on OC, its the more "acclaimed" game overall, but yeah, Hades have a shot too, even If i think its a small one.

If Dispatch was an RPG like Mass Effect/Dragon Age with the same level of quality it would easily be one of the best games of the decade. I just wish it was longer.
 
Arc Raiders not getting a nomination for best audio design is baffling. That is a snub of the highest order.

As for GOTY, yeah probably Split Fiction should be there more than Death Stranding 2. It's nice to see Hades and Kingdom Come on there.

Only reason Hades 2 didn't make a bigger splash everywhere is it is a switch family console exclusive. It still did great on steam iirc and will only get more popular when it hits ps5.

It shows how much PS5 controls the zeitgeist still. Non-gaas has a hard time making a splash if not on PS5 with the exception of big Nintendo exclusives. Like if Starfield also launched on PS5 simultaneously it would alter how the game was received overall and especially engagement with the game online.

It's Telltale games without the walking around sections.

It's also raunchy, with nudity and violent content. It's basically a bunch of Telltale devs that get to do what they always wanted, free from the shackles of following the Telltale formula, but still retaining episodic storytelling.

What put me off was the Invencible vibe, i dont like Invencible that much, but since its a Telltale ill give a shot

Kinda. It doesn't feature classic gameplay segments beside two minigames that are central to the game (titular dispatching and hacking) and majority of the game is just cutscenes with choices, but those are very much in the same vein as Telltale's past games. But they're really good. Characters are very memorable, their performances are great, general flow of the story is well-paced. I think it's definitely worth it, but it's worth keeping in mind to not expect the point and click segments where you explore locations, etc
 
So Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has 88 metacritic and more importantly a 9.0 user score while Outer Worlds 2 has an 83 metacritic and only a 6.8 user score, and yet The Outer Worlds 2 was nominated for RPG of the year and not Trails. Of course we all know why that is and that's why I can't take this shit seriously.

I was suprised. I like GOT a lot but was tired of all of these Japanese/Chinese hack and slash/adventure samurai....whatever games. But GOY is really a great game. Much more cohesive and fun than GOT. Should have been nominated. Probably my #2 behind E33.

you said over E33 and i agree that is a better RPG than Avowed and TOW2, but its a remake like Oblivion, and guess what, Oblivion got no nomination either, even Digimon is a better RPG than those two.

That wasn't me though. I'm just arguing that it should've been nominated in the best RPG category. Oblivion is a fake remake though. The original game is running underneath some UE5 graphics. TiTS is a real remake of a game most people never played or got to play.
 
Hey guys, your tin foil is more snug than your condom if you think Keighley has a say in anyone getting a nom despite being told this every damn year. He's also friends with a lot of people, so how would that even work out? I guess that conspiracy is easier to swallow than a person's fave game this year not getting a pick. See everyone next year!
 
Not that anyone gives a shit about the category, but no Twisted Metal Season 2 on the best adaptation category sucks.
I liked it more than TLOU S2 and that crappy DMC anime.
 
Tainted Grail is an amazing game and definitely should've at least been nominated. Super strong quest design, map, art, music and atmosphere.

Hell is Us is an absolute banger of a game that is grossly overlooked and I don't understand why. The atmosphere, art direction, amazing music, level design, quest design with zero handholding. I'm not even kidding, there's zero handholding. No map markers, no UI, no arrows, nothing. You just have to figure it out based on hints and the layout of the land. Such a breath of fresh air.
 
Not that I expected it to be nominated, but "The Hundred Line, Last Defense Academy" is perhaps my favorite game this year. Fantastic narrative and fun srpg battles. Got great review scores also.
 
Atom Fall. Rebellion has quietly been consistent as hell. Releasing as the clip since the Xbox 360 era and their quality just gets better. AA supreme. The industry ignoring that is lame as hell.

Trails in the Sky 1ST not being even nominated for best RPG when it has like 10 more points on Mc that some of the nominated is shocking.

Ghost of Yotei and Silent Hill F have been mistreated, too.
