We knew last May who was bringing 4th Detonator? Do tell?
 
After Wild Arms 3 I knew I was done with this series. Or, do you perchance know if this one is an improvement on the formula so that I know to pick it up?

If there was a thread titled "Thank you Square-Enix! - Final Fantasy VII Advent Children", this would imply some kind of news, perhaps a release date or other nugget of hope. You will never be forgiven for misleading me!

Okay, I forgive you. I guess I'm just eagerly anticipating this game, and I was disappointed when I clicked the topic.

I also hope we find out at E3 who will publish 4th Detonator... it looks RAD! I've always been a big fan of this series.

In this case while my TITLE is about Agetec the actual question in my post is the 2nd sentence... who is bringing 4th Detonator... the point being.. thanks Agetec for bringing Code F, now who is bringing 4th Detonator... is it really that hard to understand?

Must everything be literally spelled out?

I've heard Alter Code F is bad...like real bad. Even WA fans who liked 1-4 don't think much of it. I don't think anyone should be looking forward to the game :\

Hmm, that's a shame. The soundtrack for ACF is actually really damn good (the best in the series). I was hoping for a decent game...

Add me to the list as well. Wild Arms was great, 2 let me down and 3 struck the stake in.
 
I made it through most of the way on ACF before I gave up out of boredom. It's worth 20 bucks, no more. And it was originally supposed to come out what, last November?
 
Wild Arms 2 is total garbage, with one of the worst translations in recent memory. I enjoyed WA 3 despite some shortcomings. Decent RPG.

4th Detonator looks a lot more interesting than Alter Code F.

Nice, i'm gonna rent this at the very least.
 
ACF is easily the worst Wild Arms game (although I haven't played WA4). Very easy, progression is really juiced up, and a lot of the things that made Wild Arms 3's battle system great isn't in ACF. The game does hit most of the original game's cool points and plot points but it feels kind of soulless. There's a few nice boss battles here and there that really force the usage of actual strategy but there just isn't enough battles in the game that do it to make it feel worthwhile. On the other hand, the asthetics and music for ACF are great if you ask me. The new character art is great too but that's kind of superfluous.

I'm with you on the Wild Arms hate, but 4th Detonator looks to seriously improve and change on the series.

From Software has to make more first. Beyond that, fucking SCEA has already cockblocked Shadow Tower Abyss. I've heard another King's Field is in development, but now I have my doubts if we'll even get it now.

Well, I knooooow that. But its an AGETEC thread and I didn't wanna go off topic :)

And it uuuuuuuused to be ASCII anyway. King's Field 1 & 2 for PS were damn near amazing if you ask me. The Anciet City was really good too, it's too bad that that was King's Field 4 and we'll never see 3.

Don't even KNOW what Eternal Ring was all about.

I totally dug Shadow Tower, bummer about Abyss.

Please, make more.
 
The King's Field we're missing is 1. Our 1 and 2 is Japan's 2 and 3. So thankfully we aren't missing much.

King's Field 1 (2j) holds a special place in my heart. I still remember the music to the first area...
 
There's a King's Field title planned for PSP, but there hasn't been any information or screens for it yet, so it's likely going to be awhile before we see it.

But you should buy Echo Night Beyond based on the fact that you buy every other game (re: Nintendo DS games) without hesitation.
