Don't take it personally, bro, people appreciate your giveaways. Might just need to take a short break and focus on something else if the negative Nancies are getting to you. If someone's being obsessively stupid towards you, report them to the mods with screencaps, block them, and move on.
 
Hey man I think that its very good what you are doing, dont let assholes dictate your feelings, do what you think is best, if you like to give, give. Just be aware that sometimes, people here can be assholes and its part of the deal when being in online communities. Many people are frustrated or have problems and they just try to hurt people as a defense mechanism.

Cheer up and send me a P.M if you need to talk or vent, dont worry about haters, just put them in the ignore list and you'll be fine

GAF mods do what GAF mods want to do. Someone I know was warned because she mentioned in a discussion that she is a woman. There seems to be a certain level of randomness.
 
I don't know what to say. If one has never experienced shit-talkers online and learned how to deal with them you're either 5 years old or you've just discovered the world wide web. If they are too bothersome you just put them on ignore and move on. Letting them get under your skin is the worst thing you can do.

If there are hundreds of people who appreciate the give aways and there's just a dozen being trolls, why focus on the negative people?

I don't think there are any strict rules here. Mods are only human and probably doing this voluntarily, so naturally their moods and system preferences influence their decisions.
 
If the giveaway feature actually worked(they removed it?), things would be better for everyone. Since it doesn't, people end up making separate threads and running their own giveaways. Posting serial keys in the user-generated giveaway thread is an option too, but folks from outside the forum, maybe even bots, could grab them. And 'whoever sees it first wins' system doesn't feel all that fair.

Yeah .. and he doesn't limit to steam at all.. my prize was paid with a PSN code.. so dont know what people were saying.

I find strange someone always in the middle of the night, everyday, doing codes distribution, Im pretty sure it serves another purpose, but whatever it is, it dosent matter for me since at least in my case, whats the danger in receiving a psn 10$ code without giving a single personal information not even a gamertag? ...

Middle of the night for you might be at the morning for him. I'm eating lunch right now, late lunch 13 a clock, somewhere in the world someone is still asleep and waiting for the morning alarm to go off.

But that last bit is what confuses me me too. If you give out a code then how can that be used in a foul way?

The Internet is a mean place because it's anonymous, you could post the most innocuous thing and it's going to garner at least a few unhinged, hateful comments. Sometimes you just need to look at the bigger picture and the law of averages. More people appreciated your giveaways than disliked them. The mod team obviously likes you because opening a thread to crashout like this has been a bannable offense every time I've seen it in the last 10 years here.

Just take some time and cool off, we appreciate you here whether you do giveaways or not.

Well he is the US .. my timezone is not that different... but yes timezones can come into play I agree.
