IMO, the NBA 2K series never really got the polish the NFL game got the past few years. You know, all the extras and presentation stuff. Sure the games were pretty solid but it seemed like there were retarded little bugs and glitches everywhere.

With no NFL, NBA 2K is now the flagship title in the lineup and it shows. There seems to be a lot more attention to detail and they actually addressed most of the complaints from last year. So I guess EA deserves the credit. and I can live with sacrificing NFL 2k for an amazing NBA game :lol

PS: I take this all back if EA somehow buys the NBA license :(

The anatomy of an NFL2K fan. First denial, then countless hating of EA, now justification :lol If I pick this up I want in the league, but FMT's got the Heat so I'll have to see who I get

We even get an in-game model of Craig Segar during halftime....

Of course the lip synching is still shitty.

The Magic are still on the board :p

How do you figure that the NBA game is their flagship? With all the money they threw at MLB to get that semi exclusive? Now I think the NBA game is hot this year.. but.. do you really think it is their flagship or are you just being dramatic to hype your darling..

Why do I think it's the flagship? Well, it's most certainly gonna be their bestseller this season for one. Plus they obviously think so much of it that it costs more than any other title in the lineup. All signs point to it being their big gun :p

Besides the huge investment that put into MLB.. which in fact is the only information we have about how much time or money they have put into both games...

eh... I can't get on board with that. NFL2K5 was an AI/gameplay balancing away from being the top football game. I was sad to see it go.

I think the MLB deal was just a knee-jerk reaction to EA getting the NFL. I've been playing 2k since the start and IMO, the order of dev "priority" has been:

football > basketball > baseball > hockey > college hoops > the rest

With football MIA this year, basketball gets the "star" treatment. Heck, they got Shaq on the cover. You think that greedy guy came cheap? :p

PS: Speaking of covers, anyone have that link to the alternate Kobe covers? :D

Legends of Football for x360. I want to believe!!!!!

I'm glad 2k6 sounds great, I'm buying it, but I find it's best with 2k games not to celebrate before the "it's been out 2 weeks" part of the coping process.

I like the cool-little things in the game...

Like the Gatorade "Around The Cooler" cut scene... or the Power Bar scene... or the Toyota truck that drives up to show players to watch for...

I think those things add to making it seem like a real-life TV broadcast...

I am holding off on X-Box versions this year, the X-Box 360 version better be out of this world!

sega and 2k will hopefully do for me with xbox 360 what they did for me with Dreamcast and thats deliver some dazzling sports games to start the next generation of games and justify my purchase... if not, a big Fuck you to 2k/EA/and Konex.

For sports titles, I agree, but the advertisement whoring needs to stop there. If I ever see the "History Channel CoD2 headshot replay" or the "Red Bull longest GTA jump" I will seriously reconsider my gaming hobby.
