Well it depends if the team was going to work on FFXIII in the first place. Squaresoft has had several projects all at once with different teams. Remember FF9, 10, 11 shown at one time? I mean is Kingdom Hearts 2 taking away from Final Fantasy XII, cause it's that team that'ill probably going to work on FFVII remake if there is any.

FFVII AC is a technical marvel of CG animation done right. I'm so tired of the Shreks and talking animal CG of Hollywood.

Unfortunatelly,the story is weak, and even for fans of the games, it could have been better. Stories don't have to be incomprehensible to outsiders to please fans. But SquareEnix decided to stack on the fanservice and make it so thick that even casual FF7 fans who don't remember every detail of the game will have some trouble connecting all the dots.

I didn't like the movie as much as some of the other posters here. I think its overrated as a whole. But that doesn't stop me from watching it three times, but that's only because I love the characters.
