So it's gonna be a continuation? No new cast
Just them older in the 90's?
I might actually be interested 🤔

I believe it ultimately focuses on Eric and Donna's daughter and her circle of friends, if I am not mistaken.

This show never interested me, but if you like I hope they make more for you to enjoy.

I really liked the original but this will probably be shit.

Gregg Mettler will be showrunner, who was a writer & producer on That 70's Show (among others, like 3rd Rock - which I never watched but understand people like it). So fingers crossed.

It'll be shit, but I'll probably still watch a couple anyway. I grew up on it and got my girlfriend into it big time over lockdown.

Love the original, grew up with it and rewatched all of it a year or two ago. Still holds up. I doubt this will be as good, but will definitely tune in. Should theoretically hit the right nostalgia notes for me, being born in '85 (in Europe rather than America though), but we'll see.
That's awesome. I wonder if Red is still around

The show is about Eric and Donna's daughter Leia visiting Red and Kitty in Point Place during summer break, so yes.

No, they will probably just show up here and there, they won't be the main characters.

The new cast seem like horrible Disney/Nickelodeon rejects and I'm getting 2020's vibes not 90's vibes

The new cast does seem... well, let's just call it 'uninspired'. But seeing the old crew together really pulls on the old heart strings, so I'll definitely give it a shot.

Not only is the humor terrible, that group of friends is so "checklist diverse" that it lacks any chemistry.

Another dud for Netflix, gg.

Should have ditched the kids, and just focus around the old cast again.

New kids have no charisma and just waters it down.
Definitely. They have them with kids, maybe one or two each, but that shouldn't have been the focus.

Also calling it, the daughter's gay. Cause you can't have a modern show or movie with two close female friends who love each other platonically. Even if it starts out that way, the people have to fanfic it and the studio always bows to the pressure.

Holy shit this escalated. Last I was aware of he had allegations during metoo and was fired from The Ranch. But wasn't aware he is facing rest of his life in prison. Damn.
He could always film his scenes from jail. Just a thought.

Personally, I think it looks gash.

I didn't even crack a smile at the "comedy" on show in the trailer. Awful.

As a casual fan of the original, I will give this project two episodes to make an informed decision about it. Context can be important for comedy and there is none in the trailer.
