It's a fine movie. Chastain raises it up from being a typical political-drama. She gives a really great performance.
I liked La La Land more, but Sing Street did have some damn good songs. I honesty forgot it came out last year.
Nah. It's a "Hollywood" movie that reminds the voters of their childhoods. I think after this it's for sure a lock

Bruh, no Hindi movie in the past 10 years has done it as well as La La Land.
It's no coincidence the best Hindi movies are those that aren't as out and out musicals. Delhi Belly, The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, etc.
Granted you can make an argument about it being an imposed Eurocentric view of cinema that discredits musicals, but I can't remember the last time a Bollywood musical genuinely impressed me as much as La La Land.

I don't know what's the deal with all these failing tv shows based on movies lately.
It had the right set up. Competition in the Comedy/Musical acting and film categories are sort of a joke in most years, and musicals can actually win the two music awards.
