nomar is in the final stage of his plan to embaress the red sox organization.

and is maddux on the cubs bench or in the clubhouse? he better be on that bench.

clubhouse

he never was a showey guy. If that was Sosa getting some milestone he'd be making sure every camera was on him.

Have to admit, Nomar hitting a little nubber up the 1st base line that goes through the legs of steady Dough Meintkiewitz, scoring a game tying / winning run in the World Series would probably be the greatest thing ever. Theo's head would be sitting on a pole somewhere.

There wouldn't be enough bridge space to jump from nor bullets to shot themselves with for the people of New England.

Eventually, it'll all be Steinbrenner and the Evil Empire's fault for greasing the ball / paying off Meintkiewitz/ etc.

if the yanks dont win the world series i want the cubs to beat the red sox with nomar having a huge season. that would be almost as great.

ROFLMAO
The Nomar trade just got ten thousand times better.

Wow. I didn't think it could get any worse...

Our hitting=pathetic
Our fielding=pathetic
Our starting pitching=crippled
Our bullpen=beyond pathetic

all this after a 21-11 start...sigh.

Run, run, run!

Craig Counsell hahaha!! Oh that was funny. I've never seen something so funny, ever! All the players were cracking up. I hope they show it on Sportscenter. Everyone has to check out the Marlins/Brewers highlights. If they show the "Run!" chant, you won't ever forget it.

LOL

Hahaha. I saw that play on TV. I thought the funniest part was that the 3rd base coach didn't even stop him though the ball was foul before counsel rounded 2nd base lol! I thought Wendall Kim was there for a moment.

Man.. Shawn Green was looking good after the break but he's back to his shitty self. Too bad his contract doesnt end until 2006 :(

Woo! Choi with his first big hit as a Dodger.. picks up Green's lousy ass!

Fuk that bastard cant do shit with men on base! Leave Choi at first and take Green out and slide over Bradley to right with Finley in center.

Good. The Dodgers are gonna help out the Cubbies by beating Phildelphia. Now I just need the Pirates to hold on against San Diego (Pirates up 2-1 in the 7th).

Wells is walking the tightrope tonight. Given up 2 runs on 10 hits in seven innings.

All-Star catcher Paul LoDuca traded to Florida by the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 30, apparently wont be just a short term solution for the marlins. LoDuca said Friday that the owner Jeffrey Loria told him last weekend the marlins want to atleast sign him through next year. LoDuca, 32, is making $4.1 million this year and could double that through arbitration next year. The Marlins have 2 cost saving options in either trading LoDuca after the season or not tendering him a contract, which would allow him to be a Free agent. But LoDuca is under the impression he'll be playing for the marlins in 2005. "It was awesome," LoDuca said of his conversation with Loria. "They have some great arms and I want to be a part of that."

Loria, make it happen!

Bah, Greenie hits a meaningless homerun. MF cant do anything with RISP and when we need him to produce but once we're up 4-0 he hits one out. Come on Werth, back to back!

Damn, Perez gets lifted since we loaded the bases. I wanted to see him hit a grand slam! :D Come on Finley.. get your first jack in Dodger blue!

Congratulations to Maddux on 300. Such a classy guy. Especially the way he came out of today's game. After giving up 2 hits to start the 6th inning, Rothschild comes out and asks him if he could finish up this inning and Maddux flatly said no, I can't. He came out of the game and the damage was minimized. I dont know how many times Ive seen Wood stubbornly go on when he had nothing left. Maddux truly knows his role as a starting pitcher. To pitch for as long as you can be effective and give it to the bullpen. I think him a bigger man for being able to with the win for the team in mind today and not any personal acolade. Though I expected no less from him. So congrats to you Greg Maddux on your much deserved 300th win.

thats duque doing a "quick pitch" (no windup). as you can see delgado is in mid-practice swing.

DAMN DUQUE YOU SO FILTHY

Haha, that's awesome what El Duque did. Pitchers used to do shit like that all the time in the early part of the century. An "eephus" is an awesome name for a pitch too I used to throw something like that as well and I called it the "bender"; too bad it was all I could throw for strikes.

the yankees announcer just said he saw early plans of the new yankee stadium and said that they got the look of the OLD yankees stadium to the "T" inside and out. he also said the existing stadium will REMAIN as part shrine, part museum, part little league field.

That's 4 straight games in which a Yankee starter has gone 8 innings. Great stuff.

8/5- Brown 8 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 SO, 107 PIT
8/6- Vazquez 8 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 0 BB, 3 SO, 92 PIT
8/7- Hernandez 8 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 SO, 104 PIT
8/8- Lieber 8 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 5 SO, 107 PIT

this team is finally starting to fire on all pistons and the starting pitching is finally coming together.

and god i hope the rangers dont die off the rest of the season. SOMEONE has to put up a fight for the wildcard. hopefully the angels can keep it together.

``They're probably glad to see us,'' catcher Brad Ausmus said. ``It's something different every day. You can't point your finger at anyone. It's every facet of the game. We're not out of it by any stretch, but we're going to have to play our rears off.''"

Dartmouth College Graduate my ass...fucking douche.

going to a game when your team wins with a walk off hit is the best thing ever. 3rd sox game i've been to this year where it happened.
