That sucks. :(

Of course they're already taking orders on the Blu-Ray for the new season of American Horror Story.

Well, one of the two shows is massively popular and the other is called The Americans.

Definitely sucks for the huge fans though. I don't buy sets of anything anymore, too much new stuff to watch, but I couldn't imagine purchasing a dvd set in 2014. The whole point of buying a set would be to have something that looks better than a cable/satellite feed.

That's one way to keep me from gifting it to someone for Christmas. Well done, Fox.

A few brief notes on how S3 is set up via EW:
Q: Will there be a time jump when The Americans returns?

A: The third season will pick up at the tail end of 1982, which is about a four month time jump. But Phillip and Elizabeth have yet to decide whether or not to allow Paige in the Seconds Generation Illegals program. “There’s been a struggle mightly with that question that came up at the end of season 2, which is: What should we do?” executive producer Joe Weisberg says. “And they’re not in accord.”
Nothing too spoilerish or surprising in there.

The Americans shooting pieces of 4 different eps today. At the moment, watching the great Tommy Schlamme direct Noah Emmerich.

Can't wait for season 3. That teaser looks exciting.

I feel like
we're gonna lose either Nina or Martha this season, or maybe both of them
.

at last, for christ's sake
I'm halfway through S2 and I sincerely think The Americans is one of the best tv shows in recent years. It's intense, it's got a superb 80s setting, and the acting...wow, Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell just dominate the show with their incredible skills. And I'm not even talking about Margo Martindale, woah... her character Claudia is made of pure steel

Poor Noah looks like a dork compared to them, but either you got that edge or you don't, and he doesn't. The fact they also use local actors to play the Russians is also very refreshing (and the guy who plays Arkady is hella good as well.....great presence)

this show is so fresh and original, you find yourself rooting for the Russian superspies most of the time, but also for the "good" guys...its ambivalence is perfectly balanced. i really wish ,more people would watch this, because it's truly top quality

Kind of hope they do that tbh.

Oh yeah Martha just got lucky in season 2. She's way past her expiration date. I can't wait to see her reaction when she learns that Clark is a fraud.

As for Nina... she might still have some tricks up her sleeve. Who knows what they'll do with her.

I'm excited!

I'm going to keep hoping this thread gets bumped because of a surprise Blu-ray release.

Cool promo.

Just finished first two eps of #TheAmericans S3. Multiple layers of awesome in what's shaping up to be a drop-the-mic kind of season.

Sorry to gush, but 12 hours after watching The Americans S3 premiere episodes, I'm still thinking about the show.

One of the best shows on television at the moment. I'm hoping this is the season The American's is recognized for its brilliance and stops getting snubbed by the Emmys.
Like that's going to happen.
