The Avengers - Trailer #2

Won't watch clip. They seem to be trying to show the whole movie off.

Right now, not really. But if they start putting up particular scenes, then I'd have to agree (at least in regards to showing all the really good stuff).

In any case, people who want to play it safe should absolutely go on media blackout.

Ahh, c'mon. It's not a spoiler, just some of the best action to ever grace a superhero movie. Join us.

I'd rather see it all for the first time in the cinema. Rather than know how whatever fight it is plays out. You should be happy that I'm trying to go into a Whedon film with a somewhat virgin experience.

I've got to say I'm actually enjoying the "tv look" of this film so far. Sure there are a few areas where it can be a drag but most Marvel films so far have had that clean digital look so if you can bear through those then it seems like this one won't be so bad either. Infact visually it looks like the best one yet.

I'm just messing with you. I salute your choice, I'm too weak.

One more thing about Thor, eventhough the film was kind of a mess I really enjoyed the acting for Thor, Loki, and Odin (especially him). I'm looking forward to seeing Loki again for the Avengers. No matter the varying quality of the films, the actual actors that they have fit their roles well. No Ed Norton but I hear the new guy is doing a good job. Oh and random but what happened to Captain America's
lady love? :( Stupid shits ended the film before I got to see what happened next.

That clip took away my fear of the movie for the most part. Given how hard they have been pimping Iron Man I was worried they were going to try and put him on Thor or Hulk's level and it really doesn't seem that they did that.

So now I'm pretty excited to go see the movie.

Yeah, wtf? The best lineup is already in the movie.

Given how man, and how easy it is to get into the Avenger's now adays it should be expected that some people will have this opinion.

I mean honestly, given how popular Spider Man, Wolverine and some of the others are it not surprising that some people would want to see a movie about them teaming up with Cap, Thor, and Iron Man.

Yeah, wtf? The best lineup is already in the movie.

Well, I'd argue the best line-up is what's currently in the Avengers cartoon (plus Ant-Man and Thor who are currently AWOL), but I get your point. Spider-Man is a lone hero or a Fantastic 4 ally, and Wolverine is an X-Men member. End of story.

Oh, I'm happy with the current lineup but it would be great to get Wolverine and Spiderman. Then you pretty much have every main marvel superhero in one movie.

Anything would be better than Black Widow and Hawkeye though. So far they seem pretty useless in this movie.

2.5 hours. Has already been said the director's cut will be 3 hours.

Wait, director's cut? I remember them mentioning how there was 30 minutes of cut footage, but never anything about a director's cut. There was a lot of footage cut from The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 that never made it to the public. I imagine it'll be the same here.

Can't remember if this was posted in this thread or not, but someone cut a version of the cartoon intro using movie trailer footage:

I'm not big on the EMH title sequence song at all but that's some neat work there.

And if they want to mix up the line-up next film, the best course of action they could take is to introduce a splinter Secret Avengers team alongside the standard Avengers. (Secretly this is an excuse to get Steve into his Super Soldier outfit and lose the helmet)

I think a Black Panther movie could be amazing.

My first real introduction to the character was the Avenger's animated movie.

I remember thinking at the time, that he wasn't bad. Not really all that special but then again it could have been because of the movie.

Sadly my next dose of the character came with the marriage to Storm, which completely was at odds with the character to me and was complete bullshit that she went for him despite all the years and previous relationships she had.

Have hated Panther ever since, so a movie about him would be the first Marvel movie I would skip.

I really like the EMH cartoon intro from Season 1. I hate how they butchered it in Season 2 to make it a really horrible advertisement for the movie.

The live action remake of the S1 cartoon intro is pretty well done.

Well, damn. You had, like, the worst introduction to T'challa ever. :\

Isn't there a Black Panther story where T'Challa chokes out Mephisto in a motel or something?
Yup. In the first arc of Priest run.

One of Panther's subjects later eats Mephisto's heart for a snack.

Yup. In the first arc of Priest run.

It only got worse.

Someone came in trying to say that T'challa was a really great character and was handled poorly by an extremeist author.

So they say all these things, only to have someone post a book that has him breaking the Silver Surfer's arm and stopping him with an Arm Bar. THE SILVER SURFER. Give me a break.

That basically is what happened, and trust me. I'm probably the biggest Panther fanboy on Gaf, and the ARMBAR OF DOOM made me roll my eyes so damn hard. It wasn't even like the Mephistio thing, where M basically shurgged it off. He literally neutralized the Silver Surfer with an armbar. The fuck?

Well then I'm sure you can imagine with these things floating in my mind, and them being the only real exposure I've had to the character why I would be fine skipping over a BP movie.

Not try to shit on BP, but that was to much and I've wrote him off ever since.
