I love this series, i have all 3 retail discs.
Its innovative, enemies AI is great, some horror...But for me its not a game that inspired developers, or created a tendency or genre.

Don't sleep on Another World. First of it's kind to use cinematic style cutscenes and gameplay. One of my all time favorite games too.

I don't know how you want your list to be, Guitar Hero you got, but Rock Band also expanded on that by adding the whole band. Rocksmith uses real guitars. Pa Rappa should be there because it influenced all rhythm games.

Edit: I see DS on there. And I'm sure people would list Max Payne instead of 2. But I think the ones on my list perfected the formula of the originals, personally. I do think Condemned should be on the list for unique melee horror.

I don't know how you differentiate Virtua Fighter, Soul Caliber and Tekken. All three of them are 3d fighters, Virtua Fighter is first and influenced the rest?

About 3D fighters, you are alright, i should post Toshinden, not Soul Calibur or Soul Edge. BUUUT, as i said, those game had more boom than a established game that created the genre.

-Games that redefined or defined genres and sub-genres.
-Games that u see developers using the formula until today, they was inspired by then. Influence.

Let me get this straight; You're only interested in influential games and not the actual best games? Because the latter is actually interesting, but the former is not as its gonna consist of many games which have not aged well at all, mostly because of how the imitators improved on them.
