These look amazing. Which one of his stories should I read first?

Children of the Sea is probably the best place to start. It's the longest, meatiest and easiest to get into thing that he has done and the only one published officially in English. Most of the other things he has done are short story collections.

Witches is also great if you want to dive straight into his creative eccentricity, but its much harder to follow or get into.
