Complex. I already knew what was up before I even entered.
Didn't know Redman was ever so highly regarded. I just knew him from shenanigans with Method Man. I've got some learning to do.
Biggie was pretty great and he's my favorite rapper, but even if he wasn't on the list i would understand since Pac was crazy good too. Thos two are still to this day the best of th best, so it's alright.
Having no wu Tang Clan is awful though. Also Coolio. Gangsta paradise was a great album and no one remembers him.
For the newer part of the list... It's okay, i guess? I think Lil Wayne is godawful and Kayne is better but, that's just the way it is.
DMX best rapper of 1998 - Does anybody have a problem with that?
2004 is kanye and for 2005 aka last yearit's the game
currently kendrick is king and j cole right behind him.
Drake on the list 3 times, comeon

Aquemini is my favorite Outkast album, so I'd give 98 to Andre

Lemme fix the last five years:
2011-Drake/Yeezy
2012-Kendrick
2013-Kendrick
2014-Drake
2015-Kendrick/Thugger
I wore out the Aquemini tapeAquemini is my favorite Outkast album, so I'd give 98 to Andre
1998 belonged to Big Pun, Capital Punishment shits on DMX and I am a big fan of DMX.
preach
also, 50 Cent? Surely some other rapper put out a better album that year

Speakerboxxx/Love below came out that year
Lil wayne? Drake? Nahhhhh.
Truuuu, should have been 4 times tbh
Finally someone who recognizes the greatness of pun. You can put Dream Shatterer up against any single track of anyone ever. Pun was an unreal lyricist.preach

Lol at the last decade...
...except Kendrick, he's the best on offer for the last 3 or 4 years.
What year did Big L run?No Big L mentions?
Boo
no iggy? list invalidated
I agree with that, but man...
CLASSIC
1992 will forever be the year of Dre though. I was born that year so my word is fact on this subject.
Didn't know Redman was ever so highly regarded. I just knew him from shenanigans with Method Man. I've got some learning to do.
That first Redman album is good shit.
Drake should hold from 2011-2016 to be honest. >_>
Fam, Get Rich or Die Trying was a huge album. 50 was everywhere. I remember it coming out and my family was wilding about it. My older cousin was telling my dad he need to get on that shit
I thought it was a pretty good post actually
FOH. 2015 belonged to Future.
Even if you don't like Lil Wayne there's no denying his impact in hip hop, especially during those years
I agree with that, but man...
CLASSIC
Going by their list I'm guessing Fetty Wap for 2016?
