Agreed. I always thought to myself, is it bad of me that I side eye the fuck out of couples when I see them with an obvious black-mixed-black child with hair that hasn't been taken care of, where you can tell theres clearly damage to it.
Friday for example, I was out and waiting on the side for my food at a take out shop. I see this couple whom is clearly White man and Asian woman walk in with this little black boy. Didn't matter to me whether he was mixed or not, he was a little black boy and I looked at his hair and it was bad, I could tell from where I was standing his hair was dry and he hadn't had a proper hair cut/trim/shape up.
I felt bad for not saying anything, because he was scratching his head something fierce, but its not my kid, and you know how people get when you even try to suggest something, at least from my experience you look like me approaching someone and they get defensive real quick even though I'm just trying to help. I see little girls with their hair just in a pulled back ponytail and I know its damaging their hairline.
IMO, these people are probably the people that love the idea of having a "mixed child" but don't know how to deal with the reality of them when it comes to hair, and don't take the time to learn out of their unnecessary frustration.

I was at a Target in the newly expanded "Ethnic Hair" section. Most of the major natural hair companies were represented and Target had pics of the CEOs and Founders of the black owned (or originally black owned) companies. They are not fucking around. And I saw a white couple with a black kid in the aisle. I wanted to cheer...for them actually doing their job.

You could do some cool-ass shit with Venom or Carnage. The symbiote slime thing lends itself well to some interesting portraits

I just realized I've never drawn a symbiote in the twenty years I've done art. I might try it, though I was looking for something more obscure, like Humbug or Overdrive, or someone that deserves more good art that doesn't get it.

It is so very very sad that there are people out there with an opinion like that. My son is mixed, and my husband and I have always been about love and making sure he is well aware of what he is in this America. The oil goes on the scalp. He and I go to a BLACK barber shop. And I'm sure that if I were not in the picture, my husband would make sure that this would still happen. This is why Colin Kaepernick's birth mother is trash.
No black barbers round my way, but I go to a dude that understands my fro. I see so many white girls with mixed kids and the dads no where to be seen it's mad. Then you get people going " aww look at that mixed girl/boy" like being mixed is the in thing.

He promotes himself as a big baller and claims to be better than Jordan, blah blah blah. I'm a fan of shit talking but when you put yourself out there, you ain't immune from people calling you suspect with an AAU team with your brand on the front, losing by 52 points.
The questions that immediately come to mind is:
He's suspect
That $500 price is suspect
He's more interested in his brand than everything else.
So what about these kids who just want to play and put a lot of money up for the experience? Who turned on the camera? It's a social media world and these kids are now on video. Sure, a lot of coaches yell but i usually don't see the video. Coach em up and try not to embarrass them on camera. It looked more grandstanding. I'm trying to figure out the coaching aspect of him calling dude out for getting dunked on. It seemed more shit talking than strategy. Turn the camera off. It's right in his face so we can hear him clearly in a loud gym. I'm not impressed.
Now, is his persona preceding him? Maybe but when your kids get whupped by 52 points and you on sports center with screaming A, you brought they on yourself.
But i agree that some are trashing him because he's black and going a different route but I'm having trouble being a fan and not just wanting his son to flame out.
And that's my last point. We should be fully focused on Lonzo, not his father. Not his old coach. Not his old teammates. Not his shoes. That's going to be my biggest point. Lonzo is getting cloudy because his dad never got his 5 minutes. And that's some bullshit

In between WW2 and The flight of the fantastic four's flight there is a big chunk of undefined history. 50s-70s/80s depending on where the sliding scale is. So marvel did a series detailing superhero shit that went down during that period, and why it isn't mentioned. It involves time travel, skrulls, and a goverment coverup. It was a great series that i think i was the only one that read it

Wildcore, I looked up, and I feel like I could make better art of them than the actual series. Darkhawk is neat.
This is the Joker portrait I started this portrait series with, so anything I do with these suggestions will be in that vein.
Now I really do have more than enough suggestions for now. These are all really good suggestions. I'm excited to work on them.
I like the fact that despite the name and design, Darkhawk isn't really all that edgy.
