Some people thought this was Mando s3 (which Disney has already confirmed), but today they confirmed it’s a separate series:
I love this new era of Star Wars.
Looks like theres going to be a lot to keep up with, but it's like the EU on screen. That's hard to complain about if you're into the Star Wars universe
Aside from his appearances in videogames like Jedi Academy and Battlefront 2 (the original one), I'm not that familiar with Fett's exploits in the now decanonized Expanded Universe.
How involved was he with the galactic Underworld after crawling out of the Sarlacc Pit? Are there plot points that the show can follow?
Truthfully, I'm not super versed either. I've read some of the novels and I know there's some Fett stuff but I couldn't speak to it
My point was moreso that its awesome to have the world formally explored outside of the main Skywalker storyline, so much potential
I love this new era of Star Wars.
I'm happy too. After 9 movies of the Skywalker saga, it'll be good to focus on other characters for once. Like these guys:
Boba is the only one of that group that got any screentime and development. It'd be cool if they popped up in the show so we can finally know what these bounty hunters are about.

Both Bossk and Dengar were in Clone Wars. And then Dengar showed up in Rise of Skywalker:

Yes, Star Wars brought back the bounty hunter Dengar in The Rise of Skywalker, but you definitely missed him, because he's changed drastically.www.slashfilm.com
.....and the Sarlacc burped. The End.
I hope they rewrite the ending of that book.
I wouldnt be at all surprised to see Trejo show up in a smaller role somewhere. Cheech Marin too lmaooooo
That book isn't even canon anymore.
George always said he thought Boba escaped.
Rinzler wrote the three "Making of" books about the Original Trilogy that are REQUIRED READING before arguing about Star Wars on the internet.
George only threw Boba in the Sarlaac in ROTJ because he was stressed out about his divorce and didn't want to fuss with writing anything for the character in the third movie, so he just told them to "throw him into the pit" when asked what to do with Boba Fett.
In lore IG88 actually takes over the second Death Star just as the rebels destroy it lol.It would be cool if they did some flashbacks, like the moment he falls into the sarlacc and escapes, or go way back to Empire and his arrival on Cloud City. I remember there being a story about Fett fighting an IG unit on Bespin, I think the other bounty hunters try and steal Han Solo in carbonite from him.
Can't wait.
Forgive my saying so, but it's nice to see you positive about this news. Not too long ago you were kind of salty about Boba Fett being brought back.
lol you got your Boba Fett spinoff show from the Boba Fett spinoff show.
i saw the return of Boba episode and it was unimaginably boring to me. couple of people running around in the Cali desert. yawn.
also wow Boba Fett takes over Jabba the Hutt's palace. real original. how long did it take them to come up with that.
im done
I am sure you will get another movie by Rian Johnson that is more to your exquisite tastes.lol you got your Boba Fett spinoff show from the Boba Fett spinoff show.

It's almost as if these characters such as Boba Fett are in a fictional universe, where in previous versions of media Boba Fett has worked for Jabba, and that the history of those characters might take place near or at locations that were literally at in the original trilogy.
That's like you living in one state your whole life, moving to another, and then looking at all your pictures and thinking about where and how you grew up, and asking yourself "Why are so many pictures and memories I have only from this one state?"
I'm actually triggered by your post right now.
I’m excited. Give me all the Star Wars shows.
I also thought Solo was great and that people were nerf herders for not seeing that one since now we get to wait even longer for more live action Darth Maul.
I have never been a Boba Fett fan, but I like what Mando did with him, and look forward to seeing this new series.
Mando actually acknowledged the Prequels (gasp!) and The Clone Wars which gave him a character and more than just a cool looking suit like he was in ESB and ROTJ.
Rewatching scenes of Boba from Return of the Jedi and I stumbled across the scene from Jabba's Palace where the band performs. Here's the original 1983 version:
And here's the Special Edition version with new music and effects:
I definitely prefer the rough look and feel of the original 1983 scene over the overtly sleek Special Edition version, and I want this show to reflect that. This is the seedy underbelly of the Star Wars universe where the wretched hive of scum and villainy hang out. Give us some intimidating characters for Boba up against and not some goofy looking cg aliens.
Hopefully this core group of writers/producers/directors are handed the keys to a new trilogy. Love the direction they’re going.
I just hope that Bib Fortuna doesn't become a fan favorite in the mean time, so they don't need to explain why he isn't dead as well. Also FAT BIB FORTUNA cracked me up.
Trilogies are over. It's the Marvel model of standalones leading to crossovers now.
I’m okay with that.Trilogies are over. It's the Marvel model of standalones leading to crossovers now.

Bib Fortuna is a third rate Wormgtounge. He got all the screen time he needs. Nevermind the Expanded Universe with the Bounty Hunters short stories collection.I just hope that Bib Fortuna doesn't become a fan favorite in the mean time, so they don't need to explain why he isn't dead as well.

That CG dance number is what happens when no one can tell Lucas “no”. It’s absolute trash.
The original isn’t some masterpiece but it feels more like an extended establishing shot of what’s going on rather than this in your face song.
