Nice thread I'm currently wearing my Disintegration t-shirt. I own like 3.
The Cure's greatest record is probably Disintegration, though I am a huge fan of Pornography, their darkest album, Faith, Seventeen Seconds, and of course their lighter stuff like Boys Don't Cry/Three Imaginary Boys. Whether I'm feeling depressed or happy or something else, The Cure has the song for me.
I definitely dived deep into The Cure's discography in college and I enjoy just about everything they made from their debut to around the release of 4:13 dream. What makes Disintegration stand out is how cohesive and focused it sounds, it has a strong theme.
It's a great record. Sadly I was stationed in Germany where it's popularity caused it to be run in to the ground for me. They were ubiquitous for 3 years there. Robert Smith is best in smaller doses lol
