<Kid #1 "flying in the BatWing" using his hand>

Kid #1: "Here comes Batman to save the day...where is everyone?"

<Kid #2, "walking Bane out from behind a rock in the backyard>

Kid #2: "Muhahaha...It's me, Bane! I got you now, Batman!"

Kid #1: "No, you don't! I'm Batman!"

Kid #2: "Well see about that!"

<Close up on both figures, moving closer making fighting noises>

Announcer: "Batman: The Dark Knight Rises figures sold separately"

<Final shot of little sister, holding Catwoman on Batpod>

"Meow! Can I play?"
The twist is these dolls are like the incredibly creepy and detailed Woody amine dolls.

REMOVE BANE'S MASK AND SEE HIS HORRIFIC SCARRING!

KID'S, USE THE ALL NEW MINI BAT-ANATOMY TOOLS TO DISSECT BANE'S SPECIAL BREATHING APPARATUS AND LOCATE THE WEAK POINTS FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE!!

Thanks, now I have to look at old action figure commercials.

"But Bruce Wayne's custom coupe is loaded with surprises!"

I found the clapping and whooping obnoxious. It's a trailer. I'm sure most of them knew it was going to come on, so the element of genuine surprise wasn't the cause. It's that hyperbolic effect spilling out of someone's brain and invading the real world. I enjoyed the trailer, I'm amped to see the film, but no way would I feign an orgasm in a public cinema because of it.

They were teenagers, they have the tendency to be obnoxious in movies.

I've seen a lot older than teenagers get geeked after seeing a new trailer containing a highly anticipated movie.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, when I saw the Episode 1 trailer in theaters, there were grown men (a lot older than me) screaming and yelling as soon as the "LucasFilm" logo came up on the screen.

PM, sil-vous-plais.

So I just saw what is being referred to as the "1080p" bootleg...

Even in a better quality, the trailer still didn't do much for me. Not the same way the December Dark Knight trailer did in 2007:

Maybe the difference is the dialogue in each trailer. When you load your trailer with Anne Hathaway's monologue about livin' large it would be hard to get the same response everyone had when they really heard Ledger's Joker voice (besides the teaser). Also seeing a semi flip over is a better money shot than a collapsing football field and an awkward Batmobile bumbling around 6 feet off the ground.

Also, guy filming should have left his pet vulture at home.

yeah, that trailer is 100000000 times more epic.

Ehh, all that trailer did for me was make me realize Ledger was going to knock the Joker out of the park.... Though, this is possibly my favorite trailer ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu8FvFezAI4

That trailer convinced me the movie itself would be great as well.

TDKR's trailer is better than any of the BB or TDK ones, even with the football nonsense.

not even close. This trailer has me feeling kind of lukewarm to be honest. That shouldn't be happening. TDK's Joker reveal trailer was so much more amazing, mostly because of that reveal.

The Hobbit's probably gonna make me shit my pants though, but I promise I won't scream in the theaters lol. That's embarrassing.

Except that trailer didn't come out for another couple of months.
WB is following their "The Dark Knight" marketing strategy to the letter.
Teaser in the summer combined with an ARG
Trailer 1 + Prologue in December
Trailer 2 (My guess is April)

And when you compare the first looks we had at TDK vs TDKR..TDK wins. They didn't load the TDK trailer with crap like "From Christopher Nolan" or "Epic ......""Next Summer". It's the a sequel to the 3rd highest grossing film of all time, we know who the fuck made it and we know when it's coming out.
