He does strike me as bit of a warrior ascetic/loner so it's not impossible but probably not likely. He is human but I don't think he is one of those guys that is bringing a new woman home every night eventhough he can. I think you should stop projecting your feelings onto Bruce Wayne, it's completely possible he finds people attractive that you don't. Besides people look for different qualities in a girlfriend/longer term partner then they do for a short term relationship.

Nolan brothers never focus on the casting of side characters, they always focus on the characters of the main 2-3 characters, look at all his movies. all other characters are brought in as place ins

Because this is GAF. A lot of people here, once they have made up their mind will continuously hammer a point even-though they haven't seen the movie and won't for another 7 months.

Its not like they took Anne Hathaway by picking a name out of a hat. Bale commented on her strong audition compared to ever more "known" or "established" actresses. How she basically took the role when she blew away the audition. And besides all that, Anne is not a bad actresses. She has put out some solid acting roles. She isn't ugly even if you don't think she is out of this world hot.

Seriously GAF is just odd sometimes. Marion was weird and annoying in INCEPTION! Well duh did you not understand her role in Inception? Anne is miscast! Yet we know zilch about the character, the story, and how she will do outside of two lines from a trailer.

And Katie Holmes is not a great actress but she is by no means weak in BB and she doesn't bring the movie down. Hell she gave a better performance as Rachel compared to what Maggie did in TDK.

Yeah. I watched the trailer last night when I went to see SH2. First of all wow. For all the negative responses I thought it would be really terrible. It wasn't. The football scene isn't great but its not as bad as some made it out to be. In fact in the packed house I was in all I heard was "OMG" and "WOW" in a good way.

I do have to say that trailer lacks that "wow" factor the 2007 TDK one did because as most people have said Joker is the THE VILLAIN. And it was the first time we saw Heath in action. Tons more hype.

That said this trailer was fucking awesome. Alfred's lines! And not just what he says but how he says it. I have no clue what roles/part Marion, JGL, and Anne will play in the movie but I love we know nothing about them. The chanting is mesmerizing. Have no idea what is happening in the scene where people are being dragged but it just looks like Bane is fucking shit up big time.

This better be a 3 hour movie. Can't wait to see the HD Trailer now.

But more than she actually played the damsel in distress tons better than Maggie. And I don't know if it was written this way but she actually seemed to care about Bruce in BB whereas the Rachel in TDK seems to be annoyed and angry at Bruce the whole time.

I know people have faults with TDK, but upon repeat viewings the most annoying to me is Maggie playing Rachel.

If I look back at, BB, TDK even Inception, Prestige, Insomnia or Memento*, most women were just standing around looking pretty, or working as a catalyst for the protagonist. None of them felt like they had an own agenda or motivation. Hope Nolan gets this right with Hathaway.

I thought Rachel Dawes's character was very independent and strong. The way she was going up against Scarecrow in Begins took some real balls. I'll admit she became a bit more of a damsel in distress in TDK but I thought she was a good female lead overall.

It didn't seem to bother me in TDK because it was never batman running around during the day it was bruce wayne. Most action scenes took place at night.

It's not hard to beat the living wallpaper that was Katie Holmes' portrayal of Rachel Dawes. She was okay, I guess. I question her career decision to do 'Mad Money' instead of 'The Dark Knight'.
